I’m always incredibly amused at the way this is characterized. It’s 10 years of laughing at the stupid stuff they do/say. Nobody is “bitching.” It’s not “bitching” to laugh at and mock the dumbest fanbase in the history of the sport.

This twitter post made me think of some of the highlights of this thread and how most of it is about the losers that surround the program. My top 5 people from memory.

5. The loser that wrote the book about the amazing season, complete with packing his own sandwiches, high fives, etc.
4. Pollard- his face on the logo about the future, Chizik coin, poking the bear, his performance and gear as he was on stage at their bowl game (complete with the REALLY fired up fan), the times his whiny ass called out fans/officials/etc. by calling Murph and Andy. Perfect face of the program.
3. CW- the fascinating twitter post before the Texas game about the "big game environment" and the Jacob Park stats, the condescending interview with the ND State fan, the made up stories, the list is long.
2. Jacob Park- brief but illustrious. The entrance video of him high fiving fans on the way into the game, the hype followed days later by dismissal from the team, his interviews. Stinky was at his best in the Park era.
1. Has to be Paul Rhoads- down on his knees begging five minutes into the season, the Kansas State meltdown, the animal cries, the hard hat, the motorcycle, where does it stop?

Buried in the thousands of posts, is probably a dozen different times where Cyclone fans boldly proclaimed, totally unprompted, that Cyclone Player A was clearly and without question better than Hawkeye Player B at the same position….and every…single…time…they’re wrong.

No, but I guess I don't know how line-item the Regents approve individual school budgets. I thought the Regents won't permit the University to transfer the funds from their own general fund. Presumably, they could let the University cut budget elsewhere to subsidize the AD. Or request a particular student fee (which is what a lot of schools do) to make up the deficit.

You gotta really want to go to cow college and see them play land grant state, to pay that.

That’d be a hefty student fee, and I love that for them.

$866 per student if there are 30,000 students. Slightly more than a rounding error in college costs. and even doing half that would barely be noticeable and make it easier to cover elsewhere. I'm sure would be met with outrage by some, but wouldn't take long to die away and just be another fee.

While I HOPE they don't actually do that, because I don't like the idea of it. I probably would find the alternative worse. And it makes more sense to put the cost on students that more benefit from the athletics than on state taxpayers.
