I could probably coach that team to 9 wins with that schedule

SEMO is terrible, and there is almost no chance they lose today, but man would that be fun.

Any win by more than one possession will be proof that their roster is the best they've been in years

They are going to convince themselves they’re much, much better than Iowa over the next 7 days.

It will do nothing to diminish them retaining the moral cyhawk.
I guarantee they feel a moral victory out of this game which is why I hate the series so much. The likelihood of any kind of beatdown in this series by Iowa is remote considering how Kirk approaches each season and most opponents.

Watching that replay of the ISU guy that pushed James's head down into the turf. He actually looks like he picks it up again and drives it in again a second time. Eff that guy

Yeah I’ve got some anti-ISU bias but I’m rewatching and can’t believe the after the play unsportsmanlike shit the refs let them get away with last night.

One example, I don’t think you’re allowed to walk up and get right up in a player’s face and taunt them like the guy who wasn’t even involved on that 3 and 15 pass that got tipped out of Vonnahme’s hands.

Countless times ISU players would just lean into an Iowa player with their shoulders as they were walking or running by after a play. Other than Nebrantska I can’t see think of another team being such trashy bitches.

Be great if Rogers took a different job at the end of the year

He already left his alma mater, which is in a town that is more Ames than Ames.
Yep, easy to see that he sees this a stepping stone that he hopefully can use quickly before slipping into the water.

And to answer Shawnee, this is a critical season. If he can have some limited success and follow that up next year with a similar amount of success he will jump at the first opportunity, so 3 years or less unless he implodes which is of course possible as well.

And the AD that hired him is leaving less than a year after said hiring.

His pay this year is laughably low compared to P4 coaches and he works for an athletic department that will have less money going forward. I doubt he's here for long, regardless how yokel he may be at heart.

SIAA, but who was the ISU assistant coach in a sleeveless hoodie giving off strong meth addict vibes?

I don't think most people realize how much trouble Iowa State is in from a budget perspective. They have no money and are acting like they do. Guessing that is why Pollard is "retiring". He wants to leave as the hero Iowa State fans have proclaimed him to be before reality sets in. Reality will be setting in

Not buying it. They’ll be fine.
