Pollard got Rogers to pay his own Washington State buyout. Maybe the new guy can get him to pay his own Iowa State buyout.

there isn't any cap on coach salaries so it's just semantics for the overall cost of the hire but the words are right there

There is absolutely no way they donated enough money to actually fully endow that position. It was just created a couple years ago so it’s not like the money has been sitting there growing for a long time.

that would have meant a $10mm donation assuming the position pays $500-600k per year and 7-8% annual return. Thats probably more than he’s made at ISU in his entire career total.

I’m guessing they threw in 100k and then he approved putting his name on it himself. What an arrogant goofball.

You sure? And I want to puke, but they likely announced the gift without the 5% (or perhaps 4% depending on policy) to recognize ADJP. To my memory it’s the only endowed position in that decrepit department, but announcing it before accrual isn’t outrageous.

/puking ensues for defending ADJP

About 98% of their fanbase thinks a win over "ranked" Okie State proves the Big 12 is tough top to bottom while an Iowa win over "ranked" Wisky proves the Big 10 is weak top to bottom
No one I know thinks that.

A month or so ago, he tweeted he’d been in and out of the hospital and was getting divorced, so he was begging strangers online for money.

That dude isn’t meant for this world, I fear.
