Defense was phenomenal. Offense was shit, but not sure what else McCollum can do there. Koch would be a fantastic #4 shooting option, but he’s the #2 option on this team. Combs has become shit. But admittedly that didn’t feel much different than the Lickl1ter win over Sparty.

In that game against MSU, Iowa was 11/40 from the field and 16/29 from the stripe. And the court was stormed.

Yep, and Koch continues to pass up open 3s to take some terrible twos or kick it back out to nothing. At this point I would take Howard and Sage over Combs and Koch. They are more active defensively and on the boards. Everyone is lost offensively so who gives a fuck.

It’s mostly from a stretch where he passed up a couple 3s to drive into the lane and ended up taking a couple horrible shots near the rim. Those plays were so close together that it made it look worse.

Yeah, that's fair, maybe my issue isn't as much with Koch as it is with Mccollum. It hard to tell a guy that went 3-10 to continue to shoot but he was the one getting the open looks with Stirtz getting all the attention.

Back up to #24 in KenPom. Headed to Wisconsin next, who is #33 and hopefully catching them on a little downslide after they beat Illinois and Michigan State but tonight got blown out by Ohio State.

It’s obvious he’s ingrained in them pass up a good shot for a great shot. Hes interested in controlling the tempo/pace with shot selection. I get all that. But the number of times that turns into a worse shot than the one the pass up is too many.

I think it’s a confidence/talent issue. Just not a lot of shooters on this team.

I think part of it is adjusting to the length and close out speed of the big ten. Otherwise it’s really pathetic.

His defense on Sandfort was outstanding. They ran him through screens constantly and he didn’t give him any space. To do that while playing 40, having the ball all night, getting knocked down so many times with no calls. He’s unreal.
