I don't think that's the case at all. You're seeing the extent of his abilities when he's game planned around. He's just not very good. Can't create, marginal shooter, marginal defender. Good free throw shooter. Many of his career points coming when the team is down 20-30 points, aka who gives a shit time.

Disappointing, early in the year when he was being more aggressive I thought it was a senior who realized his time was up and was going to step up. I don't think he's quit, he just has no idea what to do when he's guarded.

It is not debatable that Marble, Oglesby, White, Basabe and to a lesser extent McCabe are the future and what needs to be developed. Hopefully by the time Big Ten play rolls around Olaseni can at least be a 10 minute guy.

Positives from this week:

Marble has become clearly the best player on the team and filled in nicely with Cartwright out. He can get to the line pretty much any time that he wants and is still playing good defense.

Basabe has really started to wake up. He still sucks on Defense as always, but his offensive game is coming around and looks lively again.

Other than that, not much else good.

If he was scoring 20+ consistently I MIGHT be able to live with this. But he's not so watching him be a gigantic vagina on defense does nothing but piss me off.

Cartwright does matter for the development of the younger guys, so I'll take that back, too much hyperbole. The sooner people realize this is a 12-13 win team, the better.
