It really fucking was. I was disappointed early because it was pretty flat pregame and early in the game. A lot less juice than the MSU or Wisconsin games. Iowa State was the same way. If we lose a game or two the energy is shot in there with some of these idiots. The students were there but dead compared to MSU early.

Once we put that run on in the first half and Joe took over it got really loud and was great the rest of the way. More standing than any game in a long time. One of the best crowds since '06 for sure.

I think one of the best things for the crowd was the shitty reffing early. They got into it early and it cranked up from there.

Tonight was the worst offensive game for Michigan all year. .81 points per possession. Fewest allowed by Iowa in a Big Ten game since Penn State in '16.

Lowest eFG% allowed by Iowa all year. Best in a Big Ten game since Penn State in '16.

Best defensive rebounding game (they got 12.8% of misses) by Iowa since Northwestern in 2015.

Even though we only had 1.02 points per possession, that was the 3rd best game against Michigan all year and 2nd best in the Big Ten.

Removing Wisconsin in December, tonight is a great example of what a Friday night conference game looks like. Great atmosphere with a full student section.

You mentioned it took forever to get out, well it took forrrrrfuckingever to get into the area again. I mean, arriving at 5 on a Friday (+ Dance Marathon weekend) is less than ideal but we miraculously got to the arena about 10 minutes before tipoff. Others weren't as lucky, and the crowd was late-arriving for that reason, but dayum they brought it once they all arrived. They need to do the lights thing the rest of the way, but especially for that Friday Indiana game as 8pm gives everyone plenty of time to arrive on time. I was skeptical, but it ended up being pretty cool even with the lighter crowd.

Which way did you come in? I heard a lot of people bitching that it was a mess getting in. I got to the Melrose exit at about 5:20-5:25 and was parked in Finkbine about 10 minutes later.

So much would be solved by a couple traffic control guys or even some fucking cones. Especially going out. If they kept the left lane on Melrose open for Kinnick traffic and right line for Finkbine it would flow so much better. And they've done it many times before. I don't get it.

^^^^We did Melrose to the Coralville strip because we thought about Wig & Pen, then went back on the strip towards Newton or Burlington to park behind Kinnick when the Wig was a bust. Trying behind Kinnick got blown to hell when it took 10+ cycles to get through the intersection with Riverside, so we ended up in the residential area off Woolf. That actually worked pretty well getting out towards Park and ultimately Dubuque. You're absolutely right, and I don't know if it's on the AD or Parking & Transportation to come up with a better plan. We are going to hammer them in the postseason survey when it comes to parking/gameday traffic either way, lol.

@ Wisky will be pretty tough, but the Hawks match up very well with them, both in personnel and game style.

Used to hate Kriener. Kinda love him now. Pretty much always hated cook, just cementing it for me. He’s talented, but I’m okay with him moving on next year.

Without Cook pushing the pace and getting Michigan in big time foul trouble, we don’t win that game last night. When you’re a team that shoots as well from the stripe as we do, you need someone to do that dirty work. Michigan was also playing soft for most of the game so as not to foul.

Cook’s glaring mistakes seem to shine brighter than any of the little things to most fans. But I think he is the most important player on the team.
