Good lord that's dumb. People get way too caught up in who a team loses. Michigan was going to take a step back last year with Burke and Hardaway Jr. going pro and McGary being hurt, but they still won the conference easily. They have LaVert, Walton and Irvin coming back and the usual reload recruiting class coming in. He has Ohio St adding two of the five best new faces, which doesn't even include the #26 and #78 players in the country that are in their recruiting class according to Rivals. I doubt Iowa can jump them. Michigan St will be down for them, but they still have Dawson, Valentine and Trice back and some of their other guys like Kaminski and Costello will be ready to step in. I'm not as down on Iowa as others are, I think they'll make the tournament, but second in the conference? No fucking way.

Scout is apparently rolling out a new and improved version of their Iowa premium message board, "The Swarm." I'm not sure how it's different from the previous version. I think Howe does a very good job with his reporting--much better than TOS--but the board itself was dead and had been dead for a long time when I last read it.

The police officer obtained security video that showed McCabe and a female arguing. The alleged victim tried to separate McCabe from the female before McCabe punched him. After the man fell the ground, McCabe then blew him a kiss and walked out of the door.

McCabe, a Sioux City native, started 40 games and appeared in an Iowa-record 137 games during his four-year career. He was a team co-captain this year and scored 871 points in his career. He averaged 6.4 points a game.
