She’s fine. She is somewhat funny but my issue is that everything she does has already been done.

I understand why a 22 year old wants to work for Barstool. The girls who work there are worshipped by legions of frat boy Sean, Kyle, Chase and Tuckers. They instantly gain 100,000 followers on Twitter and it can springboard them into whatever they want based on that.

I wouldn’t follow her expecting any sort of real reporting.

This is it. She seems likable enough, but she’s yet to have an original idea and doesn’t execute terribly well. It’s all one note, and the obvious one at that. I heard her on a podcast, and she’s a little drunk on low-grade, local celebrity attention, but she’s just a kid. It happens.

Dont know. Anyway they were interviewing Ben Hansen who is one of the football ops guys. He told a funny story about how he got hired as a student assistant before the 2009 season.

He played his freshman year as QB at Buena Vista. He left there and came to Iowa and wanted to get into coaching. He emailed Soup Campbell and asked if he needed anyone just to throw passes to the receivers. He said no but referred him to Scott Southmaide who passed his info on to KOK.

He went in and interviewed and KoK said they already had someone for offense but he should go talk to Norm. On his resume it said he was currently working in doors and windows at Menards. Norm sees this and spend the majority of the rest of the interview asking him about Menards bc Norm loves Menards. He then asked if he played defense, he said yeah safety, Norm asked what he knew about D line and he said nothing. ‘Perfect, we’ll start you there.’

This type of stuff will benefit good but not great teams like Iowa the most. There are enough guys with NFL talent to be competitive, but really no one who would be taking an unnecessary risk by playing. Of course there’s still the fact that the big programs will be plugging in 4/5 star guys behind anyone who leaves.
