Hearing statements like that, do you really think its possible that Kirk makes a fair evaluation of the team and issues they faced after the season and makes the meaningful changes that are needed to make a difference?

That's a man who think's he's being unfairly evaluated.

Just keep cranking away with what we've been doing...at some point it's going to work!

My best guess is Kirk (and Brian) think they've had some unfortunate injuries coupled with attrition (from guys who can't do it the "Iowa Way") and 1 or 2 guys a little late on development. This is a "That's football" year and things will be back to normal next year.

They don't realize those problems are symptomatic of bigger issues, and they highlighted some of the bigger root issues like scheme, play calling, and to some degree recruiting.

Feared? I liked it! But he’s lost it, he used to have control/balance. Not sure if COVID, if the changes in football, Brian struggling SO much would be hard as a dad. But something has changed him from being able to control it.

I expected to be disappointed this year and I feared the defense couldn't be expected to create as many points as they did last year, but I never expected Petras to get worse each week and to wind up despising Kirk Ferentz the football coach. This isn't anywhere near what I would have predicted in even my most pessimistic moments.
