From STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT to running a goober one-man law firm out of his house, the Marc Beltraime story.

If you visit his website, you’ll see he claims a trade mark on “the relentless pursuit of results.” Not good results, necessarily, but he won’t sleep until something happens.

The Iowa offense under Kirk has never been particularly good,
That is simply all I was saying and it’s pretty obvious that the 2022 version is on track to be the worst under his tenure unless something drastic happens. We’ve been trending towards this direction for awhile.

This is of course not true. The Iowa offense under Kirk has never been particularly good, but we have literally never seen ineptitude like this. You have to go back to the James Vandenberg 2012 year to get anything even close. The Spencer Petras years are uniquely bad, and unless something drastically changes this year it's going to be historically bad.

It’s just frustrating because with the defensive brand we’ve had under Norm and Phil….it doesn’t really need to be. An a stage offense that doesn’t turn the ball over and you’d have a lot more 9 and 10 win seasons

A 50th percentile offense wins the west 2 out of 3 years, on average. A 75th percentile offense is enough about half the time.

I think he hates us.

My biggest fear is that the athletic department is banking on the windfall of tv money to consistently raise the program up. The problem with that line of thought is that everyone in our conference will have similar resources. We could be in for some serious hard times.
I don’t think Iowa needs more TV revenue for the football team per se. It needs the extra TV money to replace athletic dept donations for football. That replaced money would need to go to NIL. It will be difficult to move that money over as the NIL fundraising is likely not nearly as sophisticated or effective as that run by Barta and his dept.

The Insider! from TOS came back today and stated it was Kirk’s decision to start Petras Saturday and play him the entire game. It also sounds like Kirk still wants to roll with Spencer which is causing a lot of tension within the football complex.

Buckle up folks.

Is this the short leash insider? Because if so it appears they aren’t an insider.

There is one guy with enough equity to have the needed conversation with Kirk.

Like @Judge Kemp said that just makes him look even stupider for not making the switch this past week. You certainly shouldn't need a QB switch to beat Nevada, which implies you've seen enough to make the decision.
Anything other than complete dogshit and Iowa wins that game by 10-14

Kirk chose to roll the dice with Spencer

Phil and the Defense said “you give us 17 points, and we guarantee you the win.”

Kirk said “nah, I’ll take my chances.”

Just the most epic dumbfuckery imaginable

Yeah they could have updated the 2 deeps . But Kirk wanted Peaches to get roasted online for another day.

It’s the perfect time. If he’s actually somehow worse, then you waddle trusty ol birthing hips mcflatass back out there in Piscataway

I completely disagree with this.

The change has to be permanent. Petras should be moved to #3 on the depth chart so that Kirk isn't tempted to run him back out there at the first plausible opportunity.
