Abusing the kid (SP) by keep putting him in situations where has no chance to succeed because he isn't near good enough. And making the country think your son is the worst OC in the country - instead of just not very good at it - because the QB sucks on a historical level and has to try and work around that insurmountable obstacle.

What I love about Petras' explanation about what they are working on with him - "when to throw the ball" - is that they are trying to coach instinct into him. Instinct isn't coachable. Either you have it, or you don't. And clearly, Petras doesn't have it.

And even if it was coachable, the starting QB of a Power5 team - who's in his 4/5th year in the program - has to be instructed as to exactly WHEN to throw a ball? I mean, really?!? That right there illustrates why everyone else but KF (and BF?) is so angry about them staying with Petras at QB1.

Right. Stop with all the coaching. No mechanics. Go use whatever god given ability you have. See man, throw ball. Don't try to do anything any particular way. It can't be worse. He can't overthrow ever ball into the flat MORE.

Twice a game, he lines one up and snaps off a throw. Usually in quadruple coverage, but it's a throw on a line. Just go throw the fuckin' football.

My guess is that is precisely why they gave it to Brian. Someone else would have pushed for changes - something KF simply can't abide.

It can't be any worse. I actually think the key, at this point, to getting anything out of Spencer is to just tell him to forget everything he's learned and just throw the ball. Whatever happens, happens. Just let it fly kid (or young adult).
