So you’re saying that Iowa has had a bunch of WRs who are a scheme and QB change away from excellence? Yeah, I’m not buying it. Most Iowa receivers would struggle wherever they played because they’re not very good. Jones is an outlier. Tracy at Purdue looks a lot like Tracy at Iowa.
Yeah, I'm gonna hard disagree. I like the WR group a lot. Jones is not an Iowa WR talent outlier at all and Tracy is bad.

I guess that depends on if you think being medically cleared yet still insisting on sitting out is technically a “phantom injury”.
You are fucking braindead. There is a difference between being medically cleared and being in game shape. When you have been out with a soft tissue leg injury for weeks, you don't just walk into a game because the doctor says you can practice again.

How about when a Dr says you can practice again but you choose not to? Maybe you should explain all that to those within the program. Might make them way less frustrated with certain individuals.

C’mon Bob. This shit happens literally every week in the NFL and college. Yes, you absolutely do walk into a game as soon as you’re cleared to return. There’s no ‘getting back into game shape.’ What the fuck are you talking about?

As usual he’s not even talking about the correct thing. There was internal angst about certain individuals choosing to miss practice long before games even started.

Who’s your favorite? There are so many good ones to choose from!
Pretty much all the guys with Xs on their faces, plus Bruce.

Yeah, after like a 2-3 week injury when you are already in shape. Keagan hasn't practiced since before the bowl game.

So why is he practicing and playing now that the QB situation looks worse than ever?

I never said shit about the QB situation. Only that there was internal frustration at certain players not being there for the team.

Playing in the same offense last year Keegan had more yards in fewer games. He averaged 4 more YPC. Jones is good and will got volume at Purdue but Johnson is way more talented.
I think Charlie Jones may be a Jerry Rice Calvin Johnson hybrid by the end of this season according to some posters here.

And that means he wasn't actually injured? Soft tissue injuries are not X number of weeks and then 100% return. There are setbacks and recovery times vary widely.

Yes Bob, by me saying medically cleared to practice but choosing not to I’m definitely saying “wasn’t actually ever injured”. Because that’s the way that process usually works.

This is not a hypothetical. Iowa literally had Charlie Jones. Last year. And he did nothing here.

The past three years it is hard to determine how bad is the scheme. Petras seems to rarely target the WR, and when he does the ball is 10 feet above the head of WR. Not saying BF and his scheme is good, but maybe merely mediocre, not shit.

They're both terrible. It's like arguing about whether a knife to your carotid artery or your femoral artery is worse.

Right. Apart from BT Returner of the Year. Not like ST is important or anything - especially at Iowa.

But my original point was how Iowa didn’t use him much. QB and scheme were only part of the issue. He’s clearly very good. Put Bruce and Johnson on Purdue and I don’t think you can assume the same (or better results). Maybe we’ll find out next year…

IowaFan trying to suck on Charlie Jones' nuts is amusing.
You know who I bet would be killing it right now for other teams?

Alec Wick.

And everyone should be licking Charlie's fucking bean bag because he's shown that Kirk and his son, Brian, are without a doubt, giant fucking retards and the offense is a joke. Charlie should have a street named after him in Iowa City.
