The O-Line might be “better” but it doesn’t matter with this scheme and play-calling. See the other post somewhere on here by @tcondon. Wirfs, Jackson, Linderbaum on the same line and barely crack Top 100 in running O.OL will get markedly better next year and even better the following year when you add Proctor.
Weren’t the two guards terrible that year? The O-Line might be “better” but it doesn’t matter with this scheme and play-calling. See the other post somewhere on here by @tcondon. Wirfs, Jackson, Linderbaum on the same line and barely crack Top 100 in running O.

I think the problem is the that the line tends to be as bad as its worst player. There should be ways to scheme around that.Weren’t the two guards terrible that year?
Connor McCaffery.
I bet that Connor would be an improvement over the current QB situation.
The scheme could use some work, but to say a better OL doesn't matter is ridiculous. The O-Line might be “better” but it doesn’t matter with this scheme and play-calling. Only play 4 guys?I think the problem is the that the line tends to be as bad as its worst player. There should be ways to scheme around that.
Also, 20 years ago. That is a fantastic play design and execution by Banks to get the defense looking to his left and then swings back to the right to a wide open Clark releasing. Perfection.
It’s the same offense. That team had an ELITE OL full of 3-4 year starters. An athletic QB who had an amazing year. Two dynamic RB’s. And playmakers at WR and TE.How was that a team with the same head coach as the current turd of an offense we get to watch on Saturdays?
Same but 1st born for me this week. She's been an asshole.I would sell off my second born for 4 years of Brad Banks level QB play.
Just noticed Brad Banks wore number 7. What a contrast.I would sell off my second born for 4 years of Brad Banks level QB play.

This is all true. The Jimmy's and the Joe's really do matter. I also don't think it's the same offense. It's changed in places it shouldn't (way too much horizontal movement) and hasn't changed in places it should (adjusting the zone scheme) with an inflated focus on execution instead of advantageous play callingIt’s the same offense. That team had an ELITE OL full of 3-4 year starters. An athletic QB who had an amazing year. Two dynamic RB’s. And playmakers at WR and TE.
No secret really, that team was loaded on offense.
One might suggest that spending the next two decades attempting to do the same thing, with many of those things that made it work absent from the current team…is pretty fucking stupidIt’s the same offense. Only took you 20 years. Not bad.Just noticed Brad Banks wore number 7. What a contrast.
He wore No. 10 when he first arrived.Just noticed Brad Banks wore number 7. What a contrast.
He hadn't even earned the Reebok logo yet.He wore No. 10 when he first arrived.

Most people forget this.He wore No. 10 when he first arrived.

Oddly, no one runs the same offense as the 98 broncos. It’s the same offense. That team had an ELITE OL full of 3-4 year starters. An athletic QB who had an amazing year. Two dynamic RB’s. And playmakers at WR and TE.

30 second mark “Phil Parker could not bring him down.”
Too bad this wasn't a line that came out of the locker room after this past Saturday30 second mark “Phil Parker could not bring him down.”
"Big Mahk Flagg". Need to see Lachey get more opportunities like that.
Yes please, I’d take him.Kelvin Bell started following SE Missouri State QB Paxton DeLaurent on twitter.
Kinda strange to do it mid-season. Less strange that they are aiming low.
I mean, he's throwing for 285 yards/game right now. Seems like someone who's going to blow up.Kelvin Bell started following SE Missouri State QB Paxton DeLaurent on twitter.

He wont be doing that if he plays for iowaI mean, he's throwing for 285 yards/game right now. Seems like someone who's going to blow up.
Takes a lot of 1 yd plays on 4th and 2 to get to 285 yards. Even I can handle that math.He wont be doing that if he plays fire iowa
Nope, @ivan_drago already decreed that he’s an awful qb and a joke based upon his extensive knowledge of “he played against ISU so he must suck”.Yes please, I’d take him.
