“At the end of the day” count for Brian so far: 2. Also shitting on players who haven’t developed enough.

BF says there is not a root cause of the offensive problems. Mentions that everyone has ownership in it.

Brian is very good at saying very long sentences that sound informed but mean essentially nothing.

Q. What do you think is the root cause of your issues on offense?

A. Well the reality is we don't have a root cause. We have to look at everything. It's a matter of going back to the basics. That sounds easy but it's not always easy. In truth what you need to do is execute on early downs in order to have manageable situations on third down. But when you don't have those things happen you need to be able to react. And you know, our job as an offense is to score points. And to score touchdowns. And the truth of the matter is we're not doing that consistently enough. When you're on offense you need to posses the ball and come away with points. And avoid turnovers. Every turnover we got this year gave the other team the ball when we expected to have it. It's an issue at the end of the day. And when the ball was turned over like that it gives the other team an opportunity to score points when we were looking to score points ourselves. Again, that might sound basic, but in truth that's what all of us have to focus on. And not just me, but all of the coaches and staff and players in this building. But certainly me specifically as well.

Thanks Brian. Looking forward to this super meaningful back and forth.

He did not like the “have you considered stepping down” question.

He’s going to have to be removed and he never will be.

also:

Q: “What’s the downside of putting padilla in”
BF: “what would be the upside?”

Lol. What a fucking dumbass.

Regarding a QB change.

"Right now, the best way I could describe the quarterback position, we're evaluting everybody on everything."

"Who can do the job the absolute best?"

Actually I now feel reassured that we have the right man in charge of Iowa's offense. Expect Iowa to score 30 to 40 on a regular basis now.

I believe the upside could possibly be an offense that is not DEAD FUCKING LAST in the country.

Brian mentioned the nepotism thing. Talking about his performance, he said you’d have to ask his father. Lol.

I’m excited to have BF/KF through 2030.

Brian has apparently graduated with honors from UI's recently added Harris College of Public Speaking. Well done.

"The reality is, we do like Alex, but the reason we run with Spencer is he gives us the best ability to win games."
Clearly the last QB in the country gives us the best chance. This presser confirms what we already knew. So gross.

directly asked if he would consider stepping down-- Brian adds that he wouldn't be able to go home and look my children in the eye if he surrendered. Adds that he'll always dig in and continue to fight.

I'm listening on and off because I hate myself I guess.

Brian is never giving up. You are either someone who gives up or you're someone who digs in, to use his phrase. And he's someone who will always choose to dig in and fight in every scenario.

There is no resignation coming
Why do you do this to yourself, ole buddy? Turn that fucking radio off and give yourself a break until game week on Monday.

Kirk is essentially stealing money right now for his family.

This all sucks because you know Brian just loves Iowa. Kirk had to slowly work his way up the ranks and is what probably made him the coach he is. Brian was handed the offensive coordinator job at a Big Ten University by his dad. Of course he's going to be giddy and take it, but man it seems like a horrible career move long term in retrospect.

This all just kinda sucks because the Ferentz family has been phenomenal for Iowa, but I'm really struggling to see a good outcome here.

It is his MO in everything. Cram as many words and football lingo in to every sentence and hope like hell that nobody catches on that you’re a complete dumbfuck that has absolutely no clue what you’re doing
