I don’t care if Brian stays at Iowa. It just needs to be in a completely insignificant, powerless role.

I’m in the camp that thinks Iowa will have a new offensive coordinator next year. That, and Kirk keeping his terrified, decrepit hands off the new offense should be the bare minimum expectation.

That’s never going to happen

I’d rather just play May or Labas. They probably couldn’t be any worse and neither of the others two stiffs should be in Iowa city next year

give some skill position guys some hope going into 2023
At least wait one more game for redshirt reasons

It would be hilarious if Labas started the rest of the season and the offense improved to “fine.”

as much as I hate him right now, to be fair, I think Brian is a good tight ends coach, and O-line as well. If Kirk won’t fire him, at least demote and bring in an offensive coordinator who has the opportunity to build a succession plan for Kirks departure. Brian’s ship has surely sailed at this point

God damn it. No. He can’t stay in any role. Even if he is a capable position coach, it doesn’t matter. He has harmed this program in major, irreversible ways. He can not stay, and no organization on the planet outside of Iowa football would even consider it.

Maybe Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz should open a Culver’s franchise…he already looks like he belongs at one

All you fucking people and your half measures. It’s the most Iowan thing possible. No half measures. Take care of the problem.

Iowa might be in better shape firing the OL coach and demoting Brian, but I don't think you can do that.

Brian needs to go.

What OC would be willing to join the staff with Brian and Kirk still in the building? Not one that’s going to be able to keep the Ferentz fingers off the the game plan.

there are numerous examples of coaches being promoted beyond their skill set, only to settle back into a role that’s a better fit.

Not at the same place where their father is the head coach.

No credible candidate would take the HC position with both Kirk and Brian on the staff. It will be hard enough to get someone good with Kirk still at HC.

Wade loves him some Garta and Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz. Thinks this is all very normal and very cool.

Brian needs to be fired

Gary has iowa athletics in as strong of a position as we’ve been in for decades.
Thats what I said, numbnuts. But you still found cause to argue with a position you agree with.

Everyone associated with this should go find something else to do somewhere else. And yes, fucking Barta should clear them out. Pay the buyout if necessary, the handling of the offense the last 5 years has been fucking ridiculous. The last two reached a lower level, and this year is unconscionable. Kirk’s been great, glad he’s been here, if he doesn’t retire he can get fucked and be fired.

I think Brian is a selfish fucker and will stay on under the guise of not quitting. A QB coach and/or passing game coordinator may be foisted upon him. Kirk will continue to claim he’s a “good coach”. Garta will shrug his shoulders in resignation without consequence.

He’s had 16 years to run out all the lesbians.
lol. Yes, he hates “the lesbians”. Which is why the womens coaches love him.

Barta literally got sued because he looked the other way for “the lesbians” for years after taking over.
