If The Swarm had to spend $1 million, to either retain Proctor or send Bridawg packing, which should it be?

Think about it. It's as though someone read Iowa Fan's wish list and is granting them all.

No more Gavin Williams
No more Arland Bruce
No more Spencer Petras
Add a real QB

Add a playmaking WR or two
Get rid of Kirk’s son, Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz
We don't know that Petras is gone yet.

If Holden does sign it may make sense if it is Gattis. Gattis would have recruited him to Alabama before leaving that January.

Probably gussing this

I just got a text that Nick Saban is at SEP as I type this.

So people are seriously thinking that Brian will stay on Iowa's coaching staff, being demoted with a paycut from Offensive Coordinator? I really only follow the coaching at Iowa, but that doesn't seem like a thing that happens.

With this staff it sure seems like a way for the ferentz fam to not hurt Brian’s feelings too much.

I think it’s more likely Brian becomes Director of Operations or an analyst for the program.

That's my understanding of what happened. $600k for McNamara. Somewhere between $800k-$1M for Proctor. That isn't coming from everyone's $20/month contribution to The Swarm.

As of October 27, IowaSwarm had made $1.4 million in 4 months, mostly from some large chunks from big donors.

As emasculating as it was to have everyone in the country talking about you only having your job because of your dad, can you imagine how bad it would be if they hired someone else to actually do the job and he stayed on in some sort of obviously protected role?

I get that Proctor has assured Iowa, but Saban ain't making that flight if his chances are zero.
He’s probably taking a rental to Iowa City to scout Iowa’s bowl prep.

Dodged the Oregon bullet now have to fend off Saban.

Can/would Proctor go back a second time and ask for more money from Iowa?

The frustrating thing about Iowa's slow start in the first year of the NIL is that theoretically, NIL should be a net positive for Iowa. They're very rarely getting the truly top tier recruits anyway, but in terms of other comparable schools, Iowa does relatively well in private donations, which would indicate the money is there to be successful if done right.

Nolook posted earlier that Iowa, Oregon and Alabama would be at SEP today. Oregon and Alabama are making one last effort to change his mind. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

People more than likely aren't going to give up the perks they get for those donations (close parking, good seats) in order to donate to a collective.

It would be an open recognition and illustration of the rot that is nepotism. Kirk Ferentz' son sucked at the job for the several years he was sole OC. Kirk Ferentz can't bring himself to fire Kirk Ferentz' son and Garta won't step in. So, hey, here's a great idea!! Bring in a Co-OC from within the program who would be one of the few who would actually tolerate such an arrangement to prop up the loser Kirk Ferentz' son. What a shit show that would be.
A guy on TOS that seems to know his shit is claiming Keegan Johnson may be rethinking his decision. I can’t see the coaches letting him back if that’s remotely true.
If keagan truly wants to play football going forward, the staff would 100% take him back.

I mean, have you actually looked at Brian’s resume?
