Full retard.Seems like it would have been in his best interest to fix it, if he was good at coaching it.
He’s not, though.

Because of a lack of talent on the line similar to the lack of talent in every single other offensive group? There’s no magic fix at any offensive position. Unless you count getting new players as magic.I’m on record as having said I’m more concerned about fixing the line than I am the QB spot.
but there’s something I’ve never quite understood….if Brian is so good at coaching the OLine…and it was the OLine preventing his offense from “working”….why the fuck didn’t he fix it? The idea that he was capable, but simply chose not to because that was someone else’s job makes no sense to me
I assume we're out of $$.I just hope everyone has fun and enjoys the portal transfers we meet along the way
Since the Cade announcement, we have 550 new members, which raised $175,000. Oh, and we have raised $700,000 from big donors who already contributed to us, but wanted to see if I was full of shit before really contributing.
Then get off your assI assume we're out of $$.
As an ISU grad, I will not pay for players. Then get off your ass
JFC this isn't your gay escort serviceI sent a check so I could write “males only” on the memo line.
You don’t know that.JFC this isn't your gay escort service
The line is the one spot though where it doesn’t really make a ton of sense though. There have been a decent number of highly recruited guys at that position. And the attrition rate seems awfully high. Watching that starts to make you question if he’s as good at coaching the position as some here would have you think. The idea that nearly every single one of these recruits have turned out to be mental midgets or terrible football players just doesn’t make a ton of sense to meBecause of a lack of talent on the line similar to the lack of talent in every single other offensive group? Yes.Does the team have a sports psychologist/therapist? It seems recently there have been many players, especially on the OL, that have depression or other mental health issues.
I think they have one as I remember something about Petras going to her.Does the team have a sports psychologist/therapist? It seems recently there have been many players, especially on the OL, that have depression or other mental health issues.
That's pretty much a whole lot of people at this point.Does the team have a sports psychologist/therapist? It seems recently there have been many players, especially on the OL, that have depression or other mental health issues.
He’s fully retired, right?I wish they could somehow convince Joe Philbin to come back and coach OL. I wouldn’t mind him at OC if Gattis or Chryst aren’t the guy.
I think I also read that she ended up pegging him while he sobbed.I think they have one as I remember something about Petras going to her.
Wikipedia says Cowboys OL coachHe’s fully retired, right?
Bullies, even. Those Philbin lines really knew how to push people around.
Retirements, leaving early, and recruiting misses I think accounts for most of it. I can certainly imagine his particular brand of red ass being viewed as played out by guys on the team though. Who do we give credit to for recognizing Linderbaum and moving him over? The line is the one spot though where it doesn’t really make a ton of sense though. this isnt unique to iowa, football teams, or college kids in generalDoes the team have a sports psychologist/therapist? It seems recently there have been many players, especially on the OL, that have depression or other mental health issues.
See Pierce’s post above.I'm just going to put my opinions on the record regarding Brian and the OL coaching position.
- Brian is a terrible OC who should at minimum should have been removed before this year.
- Barnett is fucking dogshit at coaching the mental side of being an offensive lineman. Watching the Iowa OL consistently confused about who they are supposed to block is an abomination. Fire him yesterday.
- Getting the next OL coach hire right is of utmost importance because there is a lot of developmental damage that needs to be reversed.
- Brian was a well above average OL coach whose players appeared to know what they were doing.
- I could see a world where Brian as the OL coach under a future OC would work, but only if he eats a clear title and pay demotion and the atmosphere in the building isn't completely toxic surrounding him remaining.
- Brian will never again advance higher than position coach/run game coordinator. NFL, college or otherwise.
- I would prefer that they hire a good OL coach to replace Barnett and Brian moves on.
Nobody is making you do it. Your insatiable need to argue is what’s making you do it.Fuck all of you for making me defend that fat sack of shit.
Roy Higgins is a dork who loves him his Hawkeyes, just like the rest of us.I must admit, the fourth Hawk seems gratuitous at this point, but if Roy is all in, then so am I.
I assume he knows what YAC is but I like his use of it.I must admit, the fourth Hawk seems gratuitous at this point, but if Roy is all in, then so am I.

Sounds like Holden is one of them for sure. They supposedly have at least 2 more that will announce tonight or tomorrow.I must admit, the fourth Hawk seems gratuitous at this point, but if Roy is all in, then so am I.
Why? McNamara did. Can’t really announce until Monday right?
If young Hig takes his covid year or medical redshirts, I hope for HAWK HAWK HAWK HAWK HAWK in 2024I must admit, the fourth Hawk seems gratuitous at this point, but if Roy is all in, then so am I.
It may have something to do with grad transferWhy? McNamara did.
I’ve wondered about this as well. It’s functioning like a free for all. Seems like some really easy rules to makeWhy? McNamara did.
He was a grad transfer, so no portal timing issues. Any other random transfers can’t really do it until the portal “officially” opens on Monday. Why? McNamara did.
Yeah you don’t want the NCAA to lay down the hammer on youHe was a grad transfer, so no portal timing issues. Any other random transfers can’t really do it until the portal “officially” opens on Monday.
Ah, that's right. Forgot he graduated. He was a grad transfer, so no portal timing issues. Any other random transfers can’t really do it until the portal “officially” opens on Monday.
