Parents telling their kids to chase the money and then pretending for everyone else that money wasn’t much of a consideration at all is quickly getting old.

It’s all above board nowadays so the pretending looks pathetic. Nobody believes you unless you’re very clear.

It seems having Brian hanging around with the possibility of return isn’t helping during this important talent acquisition and retention period.
Possibility? Lol.

But they're making promises.

He very well may go. And I get that Ferentz has never made changes prior to a bowl game. But maybe - just maybe - when you've been demonstrably awful and objectively terrible you have to do things a little differently than what got you to this point?

Monetary incentives ARE above board now and people just need to get used to it.

No one is giving any indication that tampering rules are a thing anymore either.
I imagine some of the guys who graduated in the last five years are a little salty about the timing of this. Since the actual NIL part of NIL is obviously bullshit with collectives etc, any player whose career had a pulse would have made some money. If you’re early into a non-sports career, missing on that money by a year or three would kind of suck.

Agreed. Especially if you were a fringe player who may have made a chunk of change in college but didn't have a long pro career waiting for you.

All of the WUW have received more than fair compensation for services rendered.

Desna Washington is a 6’5” WR from Belle Grade, FL who currently plays for Iowa Central CC. He currently has offers from Colorado and UCF. I don’t know, maybe we should give him a look.

If he’s been offered by Prime is there really a point?

The last guy we had from Belle Glade was pretty good if I recall.
