This doesn't make any sense to me. We have 70k people showing up to Kinnick. How many season ticket holders are there, like 40k? If those people care enough to spend at least $500 a year to go to games, majority double or triple that with seat upgrades. What's another 200 to join the Swarm? Finding 10k people to join at the minimum of $200 gets us $2M a year to spend on players.

I'm gladly paying 15 extra bucks a game next year to watch McNamara be our quarterback instead of all our other stiffs. It will save me money in the long run by not buying six extra beers at Kinnick to drown out the memory of Petras sucking balls.

i mean there is a budgeted dollar amount of foundation support that is required to meet our financial obligations each year, so yes I would hope this is the case.

as mentioned, now that players are getting paid, it is stupid to pay for facilities, academics, and support staff. If I were a coach like Kirk who is set for life, I would immediately donate my entire comp package and a shitload of appreciated securities to a 501c3 collective and put the best fucking team on the planet on the field. If I put that personal stake into it, so would other whales
