Awesome for Perkins to play a big role in his hometown. Didn’t realize he was an 82% FT shooter.

He has been awesome down the stretch for the Hawks. I'm most impressed with his ball handling skills. He is much more versatile than I initially thought earlier this year.

As great as this game was, the whole tournament run was full on orgasmic.

- Set all the offensive records in the opening tune-up game.
- Got a tussle from Rutgers, but ended up punching them in the mouth in game-winning time and scooting off to the semis.
- TJD and Indiana gave everything they had, but Keegan's monster game from behind the arc & JBo's three 3s in last 2 minutes said suck on deez nuts and sent 'em home weeping.
- and then finally this championship-winning effort.

What an amazing weekend. Keegan sets the player scoring record in a BTT, Iowa sets the team scoring record in the BTT, and for the cherry on top? The Hawks take home a trophy and net clippings.

Having a guard that can get into the lane to either create or get a bucket any time he needs to is just huge. He's the type of player that we've all been begging for during Fran's tenure. Is also a physical defensive player that doesn't get pushed around.

I have to commend Rebraca for his improvement throughout the year. I couldn't stand the guy being on the court early on this season and he has been much improved in every facet of the game during this hot stretch.

This entire tournament really showed the type of ball Fran wants to play all the time. And I fucking love it. Imagine being a Wisconsin or MSU fan and watching this style of ball. You have to know they know that their style is dogshit.

Correct. His role has been reduced and I’m sure that’s been hard on him, but he absolutely loves being a Hawk and that showed with the videos of the emotion he had after winning. They do not win without him.
