Obviously the free throws ended up being the difference, but the 7 minute stretch from 3 minutes to go in the first half to the under 16 minute timeout where Fran went with the starters instead of the lineup that was working hurt a lot.

With the way that game was called, I’m not sure what type of impact Patrick would have even made.

Right. Everyone was bitching about bohannon coming back but he had to when Ulis and Toussaint were spazzing out and we couldn't even get a decent shot up. Plus they were still scoring on us with them on the floor.

That Illinois team should be so much better than they are but they spend the entire game trying to figure out how to pass it to Kofi who has no skill other than being big. They’ll occasionally knock down a 3 but it will bite them in the ass in the tournament because he will inevitably get in foul trouble.

The end of the 1st was unfortunate but they were bound to put a run on us. We had scored 12 straight trips. It was Toussaint plus the starters out there and Kris came out because he had 2 at that point. Otherwise it was just Connor for a gassed Sandfort or Ulis.

He is college good because refs allow him to play football on the block and travel multiple times per game. It is one thing to be physical, but the guy lowers his shoulder and pushes off nearly every possession.

Disagree. I don't see what else Pat adds in a game like tonight, where Illinois is physically dominating. His length wouldn't do much. Defense, rebounding, toughness? Lol.
