Might be able to fly up to Minneapolis for the game this weekend. Looking into it! Have never been to that new stadium.

New? It's nearly 20 years old already.

That's fair, I was unclear.

New? Yes, it's new to me , and always just seems "new" to me, whenever I see it on TV, after seeing a lifetime of the same Big10 stadiums being used for my whole life. It always just seems like a "new" Big10 Stadium to me, that I've never been to, if that makes sense.

It's a nice stadium. I like the downtown backdrop. It was an enjoyable evening watching Kaleb Johnson Rush for over 200 yards on them in 2024. Mocking the fans with the whole row business was fun.

Have a great time.

The Big Ten has eleven stadiums that opened before 1930. By contrast, Major League Baseball only has six stadiums that opened before 1990.

Hard to get a free 2.billion dollar stadium when you can't threaten local government with moving elsewhere.

Oh geez. That was the worst game ever, the end to that disastrous season that started with so much promise. DJK was the only Iowa player who seemed to want to be there. It was nightmarishly cold. That game sucked. The next year sucked too when Coker ran for 200+, Iowa was inside the Minnesota 30 like 7 times, but still lost. Thankfully things have been much better since. 2024 was glorious when Minnesota thought they were in control at halftime and Kaleb went nuts after that.

Was this the game it snowed like a foot 3 weeks earlier, they waited for it to melt, and never did?

Then threw a bunch of salt on the ice and frozen snow right before the Iowa game, resulting standing in a puddle of ice water for 3 hours, only for Iowa to lose that I remember.

Whichever game that was, it sucked.

That sounds about right because at some point, everyone discovered that they built a brand new outdoor stadium in Minnesota without a heated playing surface

Tyler Brown won't likely play again in 2026, seems to be the only significant injury going into Minnesota.
