He traveled for the first time, yesterday.
He was a 4-star.
Let's see it (it will never happen in a billion years...but what if it did?).

Get another Gronowski type and just become a triple option team. It would be preferable to whatever this Groundhog Day we’ve been living through is. I wish I was kidding more than I am.They should get a guy or two who can run (like Brendan Sullivan), then try to make it work with Jimmy Sullivan or Bessinger..
They should try to get guys like him and Bessinger, but the fallback should prioritize mobility over arm. There are tons of those guys, and they raise the floor, and can be used in goal to go situations.I've seen it said several times...but Gronowski has been floating around the NFL and has (briefly) made it on active rosters.
He isn't a total bum and finding another person like him is probably not easy. He is a big, talented runner who is also a capable passer. Had he been fully healthy at the start of his tenure at Iowa we'd likely be talking about him as the best QB at Iowa since Beathard. Maybe before.
Right. People saying we should just try to get more like him forget he was one of the very top targets in the entire portal. We lucked out getting him.I've seen it said several times...but Gronowski has been floating around the NFL and has (briefly) made it on active rosters.

Not sure Gronowski is THAT talented. He would have played all of Stirtz minutes I’d think
BILL BRASKY!!Not sure Gronowski is THAT talented.
Sure and he was a very good overall football player, but don’t forget how horrific of a passer he was the first 1/3 of the season. I’d take one of the Army/Navy types and go all in on running over whatever this is.Right. This. Had the version of Gronowski that played against a really good Vandy team in the bowl game been the version that played all season, Iowa would have made the playoff.Yes when his shoulder was still getting better
The sad part is the WR are better. They just aren’t getting the ball enoughNo shit. We had one of the best Redzone efficiency in the country last year because of Gron. There was no way to replicate that this year. This year was always going to be a step back. But didn’t expect it to look this bad
Same with the bball nepotism, Donny. Time is a flat circle in Hawkeye Land.It just sucks that after thinking we had perhaps moved past this we're right fucking back here again, with QB play so bad at times it boggles the mind.
Nah dog, it’s notI’m hoping one of the two qb’s improve to average. That would be great and it’s still possible.
Sorry, I refuse to partake in the basketball negativity coming off an elite eight and after one exhibition game. Won't do it.Same with the bball nepotism, Donny. Time is a flat circle in Hawkeye Land.
This was obviously the case last December, yet here we areHe has been open plenty. The QBs are just bad
If Minnesota sucks, then Iowa obviously must swallow!!!Also, Minnesota sucks. If Iowa runs that ball 90% of the game they win.
Welcome, Iowa Whiner! Please do the board a service of introducing yourself and then never posting again! If Minnesota sucks, then Iowa obviously must swallow!!!
