It's been obvious since Woody graduated in 2016 that defense has been the biggest issue (along with a lack of a PG), and Fran hasn't tried one fucking thing to fix it.

Year after year of not giving a flying fuck about it. Fran's teams can't even figure out a 2-3 zone, something that most middle school girls teams can figure out in a few months of practice.

If he had tried to hire a good defensive minded assistant, recruited to fix it, literally anything I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Nope, he just runs it back with almost the same exact coaching staff year after year. Same recruiting. He's perfectly content to just let the defense be what it is.

He's lost big to good teams, but this was a mediocre team and Iowa put up no resistance of any kind.

Getting fucking called out by Wisconsin players after the game is the cherry on top to a 116 point given up and 31 point loss. Them laughing at Fran and Iowa telling everyone they knew they were a bunch of soft ass bitches and all they had to do is play a little bit of defense and they knew they would crush Iowa is devastating.

Thelwell has been great. Dix great. Dembele pretty good other than an airball from the corner out of rhythm. Freeman good.

Gives up 88 points the last 26:42 of the game. They did get back to back stops once so he probably thinks his strategy worked. He also partially blamed the offense for what happened in the game. His offense that scored 85 points which should be enough to win most college basketball games. Instead his lost by 31.
