Was at Kinnick Edge. The game was fun in the first half. Surprising number of gopher fans.

I figured they’d be ranked but Iowa is just 4th in “receiving votes” which by the eye test is just nuts. Outside of trying to lose on purpose vs Penn St and almost beating the #2 team in the country they’ve been absolutely laying waste to apparently “similar tier” teams.

That loss to a shitty Iowa State team is fucking them. Really the only solution is to get them off the schedule effective immediately.

This morning, around the time IU kicked off, my sister called to tell me our dad had died. He was 87. Not sick, just old. She found him in his apartment and says he looked peaceful, like he’d just nodded off in his chair. My dad went to IU and had been enjoying the hell out of this season. His second favorite team was Iowa because he knew how much I love the Hawkeyes and probably because he paid a fair amount of money to send me there. I was not in a good place today. I was alone because my family, what remains of it, live in Indiana. So I watched the IU game and then the Iowa game and could only think about how much I would have liked to talk to my dad about both games.

In spite of intense sadness, I enjoyed the hell out of that win.

I don’t think the way Kirk has utterly dominated PJ gets talked about enough. Also worth mentioning that Sharar had perfect coverage on the Lutmer pick 6

He took himself out of the game after their first series. Edit: The Minnesota media said he was only in for 3 plays, but that is #1 getting rocked on the interception return. They have two #1s, but the other is listed as a defensive player.

It's the bipod folded forward, looks like an M2010, the enhanced version of the M24, which means it's a waste of hardware on anyone who'd position there.
