Because all big 4 teams schedule cupcakes to build its resume? Because scheduling tough opponents prior to conference play doesn't seem to be rewarded at the end of the season?

He was the target of the 3rd down pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage and if it wasn’t for former Hawkeye Caden Crawford getting his hand on that ball, it was going to be an interception returned the other way for a touchdown.

That’s true. Based on what we saw last week, I think many of us have our doubts. We all know Iowa often, especially that last number of years, looks terrible in that game. I personally feel they looked a special kind of terrible this year against a team predicted to win four games. Honestly, but for a tipped pass that broke up a llikely pick six, Iowa very likely loses that game.

Hank is a much better athlete than I was expecting. Come to find out his dad was an all-American soccer player.

If the first three conference games don’t ruin him I think he’s going to be a good qb.

That near pick six might have cost us the game if it happened but on the flip side if he keeps his feet where he was just barely tripped up on a couple of those QB runs they might have scored a couple more times.

To be fair Illinois St is ranked 5th in FCS and we’ve beat them by the same 40-0 before. But the point that NIU sucks is still valid.

The ANF guys were extremely complimentary of isu prior to the game. That was a clue that the game was going to be more difficult than expected. Could they still really suck? Yes and I hope that’s the case. But it also could be that isu is quite a bit better than the national media thought they’d be and Iowa beat them in a typical early season cyhawk matchup.
