In Evansville's 2019-2020 season, they began the season coached by Walter McCarty. They won at #1 Kentucky in their third game of the season, the first win in school history against a top ranked opponent.

On December 21st, 2019, they beat Murray State in OT, moving to 9-4.

McCarty was fired on December 27, 2019. Todd The Criminal took over as head coach.

I don’t care for either Pitino but he is likely bringing Donovan Dent with him so that is a good start. He recruited insanely well at New Mexico. Neptune was a way worse hire following Wright.

I’m always a little amazed when Mountain West coaches leave their jobs paying them around $1.5 million a year for somewhere like Philly or Minneapolis.

Alford probably lives like 10 miles from Lake Tahoe. Richard Pitino could have a good season or bad season at New Mexico and most people wouldn’t even notice. Medved had the Rockies right next door.

I guess if all you want is money, sure. But typically cost of living will be more expensive at a high major too. And through the roof expectations.

I had never even heard of the Palestra in North liberty until we had to play there on Saturday. Pretty good set up for kids tournaments. What is the other location?

We played there Saturday, ICW on Friday, and the south gym Sunday.

there were also games on the main deck and it got me thinking that they should just revert the field house back to the basketball arena.
