Having a basketball player murdered by a teammate while having the coach try to cover it up and then having your entire football team rape the city of Waco certainly seems to agree with that.
Then amazingly, like a gift from God, both programs started being nationally relevant. Weird. Maybe we just need a good old fashioned murder/rape combination to jumpstart things.

One time blanket immediate transfer eligibility is approved.

Should help with the appeals process as well since it will dramatically reduce the number of cases under review each year.

There will be zero cases going forward, at least that is what they indicated. This does away with any immediate eligibility waiver requests and also does away with grad transfers. It's a one time transfer and that is it. If you transfer as a Sophomore and then want to Grad Transfer with immediate eligibility, not allowed. If you transfer after your Freshman year and then your Senior year your mom gets sick and you want to transfer "closer to home", not allowed. Supposedly.

that might be the print but they aren’t going to allow one transfer and suddenly get serious with a second one

Wow. I thought one-time transfer rule meant "hey, this one time you can all transfer", cause of the pandemic. Didn't realize it was a rule change moving forward.

We'll see about that. Can't wait to see super woke Twitter lefties like @DanWoken and @Hawkize freak out when it actually happens.

I actually think that is exactly what they will do. They will allow a one time transfer with no sitting to everyone. From there everyone is subject to sitting.

It's blanket and fair. My guess is they hold to that.

I get it, and they might cry and whine, but they have no leg to stand on.

In 98% of cases now they didn’t have a leg, but that didn’t stop the NCAA from giving a waiver to Liam Robbins because his uncle got a promotion.

Again, I get it, but think it isn't happening after this. Basically it sounds like they don't even have a rule or procedure for any appeals. If there is no appeal and nobody to review it, no waiver to grant.

From the article:

The waiver process will continue to be available for students who do not meet the criteria of the one-time transfer exception or who wish to transfer more than once.

Read that sentence out loud to someone sitting near you. ‘Baylor had a murder covered up by their coach.’
A murder on the basketball team, a rape subculture in the FB program, and apparently driving around "the hood" throwing cash out of free vehicles.

There's dirty, and then there's Baylor.

SIAP, but apparently McDermott has lost his starting five to the transfer portal and his top recruit next season.

What a monumental fuckup. I don't doubt he didn't intend to make a super racist comment, we all have moments when shit slips out that we never intended but you can't ever say THAT.

Would have been nice if CJ let the staff know sooner so they could have gotten involved.

Apparently the reason UMASS transfer Tre Mitchell hasn’t committed anywhere yet is because his mom’s fiancé is former Minutemen assistant Tony Bergeron and Mitchell is trying to get a school to hire Bergeron as a condition for him committing there.

Yep, UMASS had to hire Bergeron to get him the first time. Apparently had a slimy reputation before that and was a headache out there.
