Kopp would step in nice to help with the loss of shooting and rebounding if Weiskamp leaves.

Other than not being a very good shooter or rebounder, sure.
pick a random year and look at the Rivals150 list. Filter out all prospects except the white guys. Using column C, sort them by position, 1 through 5, 1 being a PG and 5 a Center.

now, in cell D1 type the following: =C1+1 and hit enter. Copy that formula down to the bottom row of whiteys.

Look at the new number next to that white prospects name. That is the position they should actually play at a high major.

Yes, this means that no white guy should ever be a HM PG, and that Miller Kopp should put on weight and be a PF.

I was surprised he didn’t have any P5 interested although the glut of transfers probably worked against him on that front.

he grew up down south- always been under the impression he wanted to play down there

Drake recruited him a bit under Medved and still had some interest after the change although I’ve heard it was good for him to get away from some of his friends here. He still has family in the NOLA area so it made some sense for him to be down there.

I am happy that he has been able to carve out a 4 year career and get an education.

Same. Also they wouldn’t have Yesufu if they had Locure and I am fine with that.

Ruh Roh, some high major got ahold of Yesufu's ear and made him an offer he can't refuse.

There is no doubt I would take Miller and he had the hype coming out of high school but I still like Perkins. Miller just got to play 25 minutes a game. They're both shortish SGs with Miller probably being the better shooter at this point but he cooled off toward the end of the year.

Didn't Yesufu just say like 2 weeks ago he was all in with the rest of his Drake teammates and coming back?

Mid-majors are basically JUCOs for P5 programs at this point. There’s not much point in going after high school players for them.
Yep, you are going to get a trade off of stud mid-major guys moving up to P5 and P5 wash outs coming down to mid-majors.

It's bullshit.

It’s crazy. Miler is an in-state kid, starts all year for a 1 seed as a freshman, will be a featured guy as long as he’s there and decided to bounce. May have had issues with something but man.

The day of the mid-major is numbered. The MM teams that make runs are often veteran rosters, and it will get harder and harder to keep those rosters together.

Eventually the P5 leagues will break away. The tournament will be less valuable when it's only those conferences, but it'll be valuable enough to make it worth while.

Maybe they could do a double elimination tournament with fewer teams. Thing sucks though.

The point is pretty good of why even bother to recruit high school kids other than the most loyal in-state or 1 and done kids if you are a P5 elite school. Just grab players once you see they are actually good.

The real shit is going to be when P5 school start losing their best players to better P5 teams. If you're Duke and you're picking apart mid majors, there is no reason you don't start picking apart second-division P5 teams as well.

Drake started three D1 transfers this year so i can’t really do the old Jamie Pollard rant other than it being pretty obvious that someone got in his ear about transferring up.

The nice thing is DeVries has been pretty aggressive with the transfer market so they’ll probably find a suitable replacement. Old man gripe but more and more turnover isn’t good for the sport that already struggled with the one and done guys.

Duke can get almost whoever they want each year anyways as it is. That's why I never really understood the Fredrick to Kentucky stuff. They're going to bring in 4 players to play over him every year he's there.
