Arenas’ kid made his debut and went 3-15 from the field, 0-6 from 3. Baker-Mazara scored 14 in 14 minutes and also fouled out.USC lost to Northwestern at home.
USC is one of the most overrated teams in the country. Ohio State in that conversation as well. Very mediocre
Been sayin. The best suggestion I’ve heard is if the NCAA has ruled them ineligibile but the courts intercede to say they can play, then they can play but none of the games in which they do count toward the NCAA tournament
that makes it a school level issue.
Lol. Truly entertaining seeing the owen Freeman hate grow among Creighton fans.Freeman is "out sick" tonight against Xavier
What makes you guys think that too would not be legally challenged?Been sayin.
This isn’t a difficult fix
I think this game started at 10cst. I thought it was a replay.USC lost to Northwestern at home.

the TRO doesn’t allow for itBeen sayin.

Are they gonna force schools to sign and play those players? If there’s no benefit to doing so they simply won’t sign & play them. So who exactly are these players gonna sue? If they can sue the schools for not bringing them in I’m gonna sue for the same thing. What makes you guys think that too would not be legally challenged?
they can’tNo one is saying the players can’t play or make money. The NCAA just simply says they’re not gonna count those games as real games. They’re exhibitions
No one is stopping anyone from playing or getting paid so I think they can. Doesn’t violate a TROthey can’t

Who would they sue? The ncaa for isduing a rule that is an illegal restraint on their trade. + the school(s) for participating in this system. No one is stopping anyone from playing or getting paid so I think they can. Doesn’t violate a TRO
Wait, what? Really?I think Hiawatha time traveled on accident
They aren’t restrained anything. Do whatever they want. The ncaa just simply doesn’t count the games. Heck, even let em play in the tourney. Just award the recognized title to a team that doesn’t use those players.Who would they sue? The ncaa for isduing a rule that is an illegal restraint on their trade. + the school(s) for participating in this system.
A judge could certainly issue a TRO to block implementation of such a rule. Judges black all sorts of things.
Im no expert on the black letter law here but theres probably a reason your proposed solution has not been seriously considered and you should stop assuming you understand the law. I really think you dont.
It would not be difficult at all to argue that it is.Having them simply not considered towards the NCAA tournament is not a penalty.
the schools that are constantly suing their current voluntary membership organization will definitely be happy with their next voluntary membership organizationI was apparently wrong.
The next step is abolishing the ncaa and creating a pro league with rules, cba, etc
Which is where this was going anyway
Courts: he can play, and you're not allowed to do anything that penalizes him or the school if he does.It would not be difficult at all to argue that it is.
I may not understand the actual setup of the NCAA. Aren't they a private governing body for collegiate sports and schools can choose not to belong? How are courts saying what the NCAA can and cant do on decisions like this?Courts: he can play, and you're not allowed to do anything that penalizes him or the school if he does.
NCAA: Ok, he can play, but games he plays in will not count toward qualifying for our signature event, which is the entire point of college basketball and through which the school receives signficant financial benefit and perpetuates its recruiting, donations and public standing. It's not a penalty though!
Courts: ....you're fucking joking, right?
NCAA: ....
Courts: ....
NCAA: We withdraw our last statement, your honor.
I dont want to get political here, but courts LITERALLY tell privately owned bakeries the types of cake they must make. Judges are thugs in black robes and can do whatever the fuck they feel like.I may not understand the actual setup of the NCAA. that’s so weird. I wonder why?Minnesota is a beast at home. They are up 8 on #7 Nebrantska right now with 17 to go in the 2nd half.
Beat Indiana and Iowa. Wisconsin needed a miracle at the buzzer to survive. USC needed overtime. Nebrantska now struggling.
so you put some good weight on him, and he's a player.Fartman Jr. now gunning for Big Ten Player of the Year and likely a lock for First Team All Big Ten.
Anchored by a couple of guys that Iowa had or should have had on their roster. The more I watch Nebrantska the more I think they are a legit 2 seed. Good defense, seem to always get good looks on offense, a big guy they can dump it into when needed. They have 4-5 guys that can score 20+. They aren't the most athletic but no one can stay in front of Hoidberg and he always makes the right play.
Now would be the time. 3 of next 4 games are @Michigan, Illinois, Purdue.I still think they’ll hit the same wall that Jok/Uthoff team did.
Yes, but please provide the number of staff members for each team. That's what brings me back to this thread.Lol, now Minnesota down 20 with 6 minutes left. Fucking losers.
Not enough! Never enough!Yes, but please provide the number of staff members for each team. That's what brings me back to this thread.
@Herbie2 didnt want him back.Fartman Jr. now gunning for Big Ten Player of the Year and likely a lock for First Team All Big Ten.
