UConn is a very good team, but the Big East is a joke.

I was noticing this tonight. Big East outside of 3 teams is horrible. Butler, Xavier, Georgetown, Creighton, Marquette and Providence all have been good to damn good the last few decades and are now dogshit.

Marquette is well supported but Shaka has bizarrely refused to use the transfer portal at all. They have started to play better as of late but the roster development with current group of upperclassmen didn't pan out so his seat is starting to get hot. Of course he announced to TNT over the weekend they will finally use it this offseason.

Some bad roster decisions and bad hires. Providence by all accounts spent $10-11M this year and their roster stinks. English is probably getting fired.

Creighton had money and a good staff, bad decisions and roster management.

Shaka has tried to avoid the portal, they lost some key seniors, are starting a couple freshmen but roster just isn’t good enough.

Cooley can’t get anything going at Georgetown. They just aren’t getting any better.

Pitino in his first year at Xavier. I think he’ll be solid there but couldn’t put together a brand new roster year one.

Seton Hall is exceeding expectations but they have no money. Butler is also poor reportedly.
