The Iowa students were basically a no-show and the opposite ens had probably 1000 open seats as well. I was worried about Iowa State fans showing up in good numbers but there were barely any there. Their fan base is all talk. All hat and they screw cattle.

Relax, I was pushing buttons during a Thurs nite buzz. There’s plenty of room on Halo for Hawk fans whose most despised rival isn’t ISU. Until someone bans me, you’re gonna have a passionate Spartan hater hanging around. Thats who I am. That’s the lens from which I view college sports.

And of course, I thoroughly enjoyed the win last night.

I'm not going to DMOFR. Why did Shayok leave UVA?
Because he's a chucker, and the antithesis of chuckers is Tony Bennett

That's a dumb assessment. He had no opportunities to do anything in that offense and that's why he left. Being relegated to an afterthought on a team that scores 50 or 60 points a game is a horrible way to end your college basketball career.

From what I was told Shayok's problem last night was that he took too many contested shots, but so did others.

He's averaging 19 PPG and 50% from the field. That's not a "chucker."

He's a really good offensive player, and Horton-Tucker is a man-child. that was a fun game to watch. Both teams eschew the grab/hold/hack style for the most part. ISU tended to bump drivers on the baseline and got away w/ it a lot, but that was really all I noticed.

This game is obviously Iowa’s super bowl. If them pulling one of their crappiest players off IR to help them win it doesn’t prove that, I don’t know what does.

I thought there was a decent amount of ISU fans there. And Carver was pretty lame for most of the night. Surprised me as Caver was a blast 2 years ago when they played.

I don't get all the hate directed at Connor. It's not like he's Jacob Jaacks out there.

Were you a big two hand touch football player when you were a kid, Peep? Or are you autistic and hate being touched?

Apparently Connor should just stand there and piss his pants when faggy little ISU players try to swat at him when the game is over.

Just curious, because I'll likely never attend a game at Hilton, but do many Iowa fans show when the game is played in Ames?

I thought maybe it would be bohannon. Glad it's Connor. My buddy was saying that he didn't know about Connor and that usually he hates players like that. I need better buddies.

Oh fuck off. A chucker throws up lots of shots, which Shayok does. And you can't do that in Virginia's offense. Nothing wrong with that, I didn't mean anything bad by it

I honestly thought this was Iowa's third win in a row in the series until I looked it up today. I remember nothing about ISU winning in Ames last year.

I was at my daughter's band concert last night checking the scores on my phone and stopped paying attention once they got down double digits in the second half. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

Was it true that there were empty seats at Carver last night?
I was there. There were some scattered empty seats high up in the end zones. But I thought it was a good crowd.

I still can't get over the ball that basically sat on top of the backboard and fell in.

I don't think Connor will be as hated at Brian Cardinal, Craft, etc. by teams in the I am a giant douche. he doesn't openly try to get under opposing player's skin, he doesn't do any animated taunting, and I don't believe he's ever had a technical. His reactions come as a response when other players antagonize him. He doesn't take crap from anyone.

Were you a big two hand touch football player when you were a kid, Peep? Or are you autistic and hate being touched?
1. No. The rules of football, as I learned it, rewarded physical play. If you want to run fast and crash into people, you can play that game. See: Tommy Soybean. I loved playing football.

2. (a) I may be on the spectrum.

2 (b) I do hate being touched.

I'm a lot older than you. When I learned the game of basketball in the mid to late 70's, contact was usually a foul, excepting bigs battling post position in the lane. A hand-check was a foul. You couldn't put a hand on the guy you were guarding just to "locate" him. On D you had to move your feet and maintain your plane, and bumping a guy off his line was always a foul. You had to be immobile to get a charge call. This type of game allowed skilled athletes to flourish, remanding Soybeans and Charlie Hustles to sports rewarding their grit and determination. HS games v. DM Lincoln and Waterloo East would regularly reach the 90s, sometimes over the 100 mark. HS games in general would reach the upper 70s/80s. Basketball should be a basketball players' game. That's where I come from, and why I enjoy play like that in last night's tilt.

I liked it when the ISU fag drove in out of control and air balled a wild layup attemp and the announcer said “everything but the finish.”
