I've seen that done, and I assume some do. I don't know all the intricacies of the specific surgical approaches, because I just do a little sports med with office procedures. It depends on what the anatomy looks like though and for most of the cases I see, they just stabilize with a screw traditionally. I don't do any regular OR stuff, however.
