Could just run it all the way back in 2021. Garza almost definitely gone. Could see bohannon returning.

Is this decision for last year or this year? Last year I’d understand. This year would seem odd.

My understanding is that this means that the coming year basically doesn't count for eligibility.

Same decision they made for fall sports.

So, no redshirts this year means Fran will run with a 15 man rotation. Great.

It’s just Jim. He’s the typical iowa city resident.

A big rotation doesn't matter this year because we've got an unstoppable force on the offensive end that can play big minutes. As long as Luka is in the game there isn't any pressure for the young guys to create shots. All they have to do is give everything they've got on the defensive end.

Playing a lot of guys isn't a problem when you can surround them with a great offensive post player.

Love ya Fran, but LOL at the 'even the Murray twins...they're twins!' part.
I know it's practice, but loved seeing the ball fly around. The element that made those Warriors NBA championship teams so dangerous was their passing -- they knew anyone on the court could hit a shot so the ball hopped around and they were unselfish. Same with Iowa this year -- every one of their starters will be able to hit a wide-open shot so if you keep the ball hopping around horn, a great shooter will consistently get an open look. This reason among many others will be what makes this team so much fun to watch.

It also helped that they had two of the greatest 3 point shooters of all time and added a 7ft superstar who can shoot better than most guards.

They said on Kakerts podcast but every player other than 1 has had COVID and I’m guessing the 1 is Garza.

That's pretty awesome in a terrible good way.

I actually think Garza has had it.

Yeah, forgot about Josh O being away from the team so he’s probably the one.

Garza seems to be a regular at Riverside Casino.

My guess would’ve been Patrick several months back, but then I started seeing pictures of him and joe hanging out downtown like normal college kids.

Poor Wieskamp, if he went to ISU he'd had 40 year old men sniffing his jock and licking his socks. At Iowa, we rag on him for being a big, giant pussy.

Hope he proves us wrong.

He’s just not built to be a #1 or #2 option. This season will be a much better season with much less criticism aimed at Joe IMO.

He had a slump his sophomore year and lost confidence. It happens. He'll be a huge piece this year and if he sticks around for his senior year he'll be ready to be the man.

If he could just look a little less like Caillou, people would leave him alone.

Which senior year? Academic or athletic? Conceivably, he can play 3 more years.
