Jalen Suggs continues to speak highly of Iowa.

"In terms of the visits, what was it like to visit Minnesota and what was it like to visit Iowa?
The Iowa visit was great. That was a week where they won off the field goal against Michigan and it was real cold. It was a great experience. The community's real great. They come together and cheer for the team. I really like the family atmosphere that Iowa brings- the coaching staff with Coach McCaffrey and all of the assistants. And then with Minnesota, playing in the barn was fun."

From that list in the best of the rest portion, Robert Bobroczky. 7'7" in the 2020 class. Kid doesn't look awkward at all.

I wouldn't agree to be 7'7" even if someone said they would pay me 10's of millions of dollars.

Wonder why Foster plays for Pure Prep AAU and not the Barnstormers.

Xavier Foster is #23 in the initial Rivals 2020 ratings. Crazy. Not seeing it, but I don't know shit.

Would be amazing (and rather fortunate) to land three, maybe four, consecutive top 50 instate kids. There is historically a very high correlation between the success of the program and the quality of the instate talent over the same time period. Iowa is good if the state is producing national level talent.

Yep, when I think of Iowa basketball, I think of great Iowans like Sharm Shuermann, Carl Cain, Chad Calabria, Stick Vidnovic, Sam Williams, John Johnson, Fred Brown, Ronnie Lester, Roy Marble, BJ Armstrong, Ed Horton and Kevin Gamble.

I'm sorry, are you saying that the level of talent available in state is not relevant to the the success of iowa? And you did by that by busting out names from 30-40 years ago?

I'm saying that, at least historically, when Iowa basketball has been good it has been due almost exclusively to the contributions of non-Iowans. I demonstrated that by busting out the names of our most important contributors in our four modern periods of success: 1956, 1970, 1980 and 1987.

If there has been a correlation between successful University of Iowa basketball and talent rich Iowa prep basketball (which I'm pretty sure there hasn't), then it has been entirely coincidental and not at all due to the contributions of these alleged Iowa home state legends.

Hope that will change tho FWIW peace.

Clicking on #PWP results in "princesses wear pants."

I don't see how that applies.

Rivals recruiting analyst thinks Iowa is still the team to beat for Xavier Foster.

There were also 3 recent crystal balls picks for Foster to Iowa on the 247 site.

Fran is right on the verge. Get DJ Carton and Xavier Foster along with Wieskamp and Pat and you are looking at challenging for Big Ten Championships for a few years.

I like getting good in State kids. If anything it keeps iowa state shut out from anyone decent that grows up on iowa.
