Ahron Ulis should log more minutes than anyone at PG next year. If that is the priority for the team like I hope it is, then I’ll welcome bohannon back with open arms. The roster is devoid of shooting as it stood before today.

Connor is going to start at the 4 and people are going to hate it.

Toussaint / Ulis / Connor
bohannon / Perkins / Sandfort
Keegan / Patrick
Rebraca / Kris
Ogundele / Mulvey
Flip flop Mulvey and Ogundele and I think it is a highly likely starting lineup. I could also see them go small, ideally with Ulis beating out Joe T:

Ulis / Toussaint / Connor
bohannon / Perkins / Sandfort
Sandfort / Patrick / Keegan
Keegan / Kris / Patrick / Rebracha
Rebraca / Mulvey / Ogundele

I wonder when people are going to figure out that Kris is more of a guard than Keegan is?
Iowa's offense is pretty flexible in terms of the traditional spots. If Kris is similar to to Keegan, just have those two spell each other and then have the McCaffery boys spell each other.

bohannon had stopped going to class because he had already graduated and now has to catch up to make sure he passes his classes in 2 weeks so he can be eligible for next year.

That’s about as COVID year as it gets.

Win.
Graduate.
Do things the right way.
Skip a semester of classes.
Work for three weeks and pass a semester's worth of classes.

Josh O and Joe T are probably the 2 guys without any positional flexibility. The rest of the roster can play at least 2 positions.

Connor continues to be an odd fit for the current roster. He could play a couple spots but it mostly feels like he’s blocking someone else with higher upside from seeing the floor and is coming off of double hip surgery. You’d like to think he would be the heady player to close out games but he’s also a terrible free throw shooter.

I do think they have enough shooting now assuming Sandfort is ready and Kris Murray is at least close to as good as they’ve said he is from the outside.

The Iowa basketball team is going to rival the east wing of the Shady Acres retirement home for most hip surgeries in the Midwest.

Have people been saying that Kris Murray is supposed to be a really good shooter or something? He shot 31% from three and 76% from the free throw line in his one year of prep school. Maybe he has improved drastically since, but I always thought Kris was billed as more of a slasher, rebounder and defender.

I love all the “I still hate it, but hope it works out” posts now. Lol.

Maybe @The Incredible Hawk would know, but can Connor even have both his hips done at once? He would be legitimately an invalid for like 8 weeks if they did that right? I don’t see how Connor is really ready to play at the start of the season.

Does Fran try and get one more big? Only other guy I’ve heard anything about is Onu.
