Yup. I ran the numbers overnight. OSU averaged just over one every four years, Iowa just over 5 years.

This guy is a little older but seems a little Leipoldish (who was 57). I think it’s a solid hire for a place like Indiana.

Age doesn't matter at this point. Only 35 active FBS coaches have been coaching at their school prior to 2020.

That means roughly 100 coaches in FBS haven't been at their schools 3 full seasons as of last week. You've got a 25% shot of getting a "long term" coach that stays 3+ years. Pick the best coach to win immediately and hope the rest works out seems to be where the NCAA is at.
