But you’re not sure she’s the person for the job because ….
Brad is still in over his head and floundering, the war chest is meh, and nothing’s really been done about it, to this point. Much of that’s on Garta, but it’s been awhile now.

I’ve heard that iowa has put a shitload of money on the table for the Penn State guy. Still doesn’t want to come here lol.

56 career passing attempts by Pribula is basically the same amount of experience as Stratton so absolutely throw a bunch of money at him after doing to same with Cade McNamara

I’ve known Dallas Clark to be a good guy, and think he’d be good as the head of the collective. He clearly cares about Iowa football. I’m thankful to Brad for putting shit together, but what is needed is beyond him. Having at least a former player in place would help, I’d think.
Dallas Clark cares about Dallas Clark more than anything else

there needs to be pretty close to full alignment on objectives and coordination between the AD, staff, outside collective and its bigger donors to be effective - that’s gotta suck. but you gotta prioritize it and try or you don’t have a shot at anything that matters
The issue is that Beth inherited a group that in no way shape or form gives AF about the AD's thoughts on these matters.

I know Halo likes to joke that Kirk was Gary's boss...but in reality, that wasn't all that far from the truth.

The lack of a coherent collective definitely falls on Barta, but I also don’t blame him for not wanting to get involved on the way out.

I wish I could say that we should have been able to see Gary had checked out and was on cruise control as AD, but that would mean he checked out over a decade ago.

If the money is right, what’s his issue? Better history, facilities, and NFL players vs the other schools he’s looking at.

It’s probably a little early to say that he doesn’t want to come here. He’s been to Mizzou and still has visits with UCF and IU planned. People assume the worst when a guy leaves campus without committing and while it’s not ideal and less common then it used to be, it is still how some kids roll

Putting a well known former Hawkeye in a NIL public relations/marketing role as opposed to an ordinary successful salesperson.
How many well known athletes want a role like that? And you do know that Brad was an Iowa athlete*, right?

*If you consider golfers athletes

Let's be honest, why the fuck are you even a fan at this point?
A little self-flagellation can be fun but it should not be a personality in and of itself.

A QB would want to go to Iowa because we have an OC that wants to get the WRs involved again and they’d be running a similar offense to what they’d most likely be running in the NFL.

It should actually be a pretty easy sell.

They got a dude from Auburn and a dude from Michigan 2 years ago (that ultimately sucked). They're not having a problem selling the position. They just need to get the right guys.

Is Pribula even any good? We've seen almost nothing from him.

Here is the Wisconsin video when Allar was knocked out, you be the judge. The sound is shit, but it shows most of the passes he has thrown in non-blowout situations.

This is going to play out so predictably. They're going to strike out at any starting QB, they'll give that scholarship to Stratton and Sullivan, Brown and Stratton will get the spring QB snaps
Yep. We’ll all predict a 6-6 record until two weeks before the season then we’ll find reasons for at least eight wins.

Pribula woukd only be a modest upgrade over Sullivan due to being a slightly better thrower, imo.

if we get solid help at DT, OL and WR, it will be a nice haul.

I think Lester is at minimum a soldi coordinator. They can get some receiver and DL help. If Graves, Llewelyn and Allen are back next year that is a good core.
