Time to rattle off the wins and make some hay with the upcoming schedule.

DeVries players are soft as shit. His defensive scheme is shit. They lack discipline. He's Fran without a great offense, and much like Fran he's going to find himself coaching a mid-major job sooner than later.

I'm very happy we have McCollum.

Could have spent at least 2x the money to get DeVries and his fat ass slob of a son. Right decision was made.

How is that the best team Indiana could put together? That is a very underwhelming roster build by DeVries.

Laughing at DeVries. Passed on the Iowa job because he was scared about resources. He takes his fat 30 year old kid with him to Indiana, is flooded with NIL money and the result is he got his cock beat to shit at home by 20. Embarrassed on national TV.

Maybe he'll be the next Drake coach

Iowa back up to #18 on KenPom.

Really good shot to rip off the next 6 in a row coming up. USC game and is at home. Road trip might be tough out west, but Oregon is #89 KenPom / #111 NET and Washington is #49/#57. That would be a Quad 1 win.

USC is way overrated by everyone. That game at UW will be far more challenging

I dont think L Tards hero Devries is gonna last too long.

Let’s just thank Allah big dick Beth didn’t listen to L Tards begging for Devries.

Call me crazy, but I think we need to offer Tate's twin brother Ethan now. Averaging 12 and 7 as a true freshman at Pittsburgh State

That's my sage advice anyways
I don't think this is all that crazy of an idea if he'd be fine being a bench piece

Ben thought that was Alvaro’s best game of the year defensively after he started as bad as he could be.
He was really good 2nd half. Stirtz played really good D too.
This is why Ben is so great. Alvaro played like shit overall and he has been riding him hard the last few games. He doesn't want to lose his confidence as he can still be a difference maker in a few games down the stretch. With that being said, I'm hoping 14 minutes is more the norm versus 20+. Indiana didn't seem to have the front court players to really expose his weaknesses.

First Q1 win!!

Devries The Elder doesn’t strike me as a good coach. Ben mopped the floor with him.

Not all that long ago he said he doesn't care about killing guys confidence because they shouldn't be in the Big Ten otherwise.

I wanted DeVries and was a bit pissed when they didn't get him, but mostly that was based on feelings with no basis in reality because I don't think I have ever seen one of his teams played. I heard Iowa guy, did well at Drake, did well at West Virginia so seemed like a good hire. Was miffed they had to go after McCollum, but again that was based on nothing.

After watching and seeing both teams play this year multiple times, DeVries is the far worse coach.

Koch likely starting to hit the Freshman wall. I'm guessing he takes a step back for a few games before he bounces back in February.

Yeah he’s just fighting confidence since he hit this cold stretch where he can’t hit wide open looks. Defense was bad today. I think he’s wired the right way though.

That was a hugely encouraging win. Have lost several close games to good teams and one blip vs Minnesota when the plague was going around. Could easily get frustrated as a player on the road in a hostile environment. They stepped up and beat the shit out of a blue blood at home. These guys know they can play with pretty much anyone.

Banks and Shamwow give the team good athleticism in the front court to make up for their size. And I know Combs has faults, but he’s the type of guard that will help in March. Can handle the ball, can make shots in the lane (when he takes them) and his defense is really good.

McCollum might be a goddamn magician after seeing what DeVries had done at Indiana with more resources in the same amount of time.

Combs is such a solid role player. He doesn’t turn it over and doesn’t force anything
He drove me nuts today. Definitely plays under control, is patient, and plays hard.

But shoot the damn ball when you have layups. Draw contact. Passes up way too many good shots that end up being turnovers or late shot clock heaves from someone else.

@BBK and I wanted McCollum from the start.
There were more. Some offered their mouths.

Drake has one player on the entire team who can dribble.

McCollum might be the greatest coach in the history of the sport.

If we get him, I am going to make a rare off-season Sculpture Park reservation from noon to 2:00 the following day. Same rules as always...no butt stuff. Arrive hard if possible. No kids or cameras.

Good win but indiana fucking suuuuucks in my eye test at least.
Conerway is really good and Wilkerson is a great scorer. We didn’t let Wilkerson get clean looks today and made Devries totally average. Giving Enright the Connor/Joe T treatment fucked him up too. They don’t have much inside though, which is huge for us obviously.

I wasn't used to him knocking those 3's down over the past few games, a few shot attempts looked sketch but went right in. Trust tree being earned.

Indiana on a 3 game losing streak, with 4 of their next 5 on the road including their west coast trip. Their one home game in that stretch vs Purdue. Would be fun to see how their fan base react to a 12-13 loss inaugural season for Devries.
