WHAT WE THINK OF BRODY SCHAFFER

Schaffer was the least notable prospect on the roster at the Next Ones event, but you wouldn't know it once the lights came on. A rising prospect with two-way snaps and encouraging room for growth. Though his frame is wiry at the moment, he should thrive in a college strength program and add the requisite strength needed for the college level. While we don't yet have much in the way of testing or verified measurements, there's reason to be excited with his trajectory.

Looks like a baller to me! Regardless of competition, he's a sick open field runner, and vision like that ain't taught. Running 4.46 at a national camp at 16 seems reasonably indicative of speed. And QBs playing WR have worked out fairly well; Razor Ramon, Hinkel, Solomon, DJK, McNutt. (Derrick Mitchell did flop before finding his best spot and James Resar decided he's still a QB.) We are going to need dunking videos at some point, however.
