I think he has always respected KF and Iowa. He used the injury during his career to get his team fired up to play Iowa and made it a temporary mini rivalry. Of all of the Midwest coaches who have come and gone over the years, a few really stand out as building things to the Ferentz model. Fitz and Campbell are up there.
