Seems to me it says Iowa has to vacate wins in games that McNamara played in.![]()
Tampering violations occurred in Iowa football program - NCAA.org
Tampering violations occurred in the Iowa football program when current football head coach Kirk Ferentz and assistant coach Jon Budmayr had impermissible contactswww.ncaa.org
TLDR: There are no further penalties beyond what's already been announced and (mostly) served.
Missed that. You're right. So four games.Seems to me it says Iowa has to vacate wins in games that McNamara played in.
Do they also vacate any lossesMissed that. You're right. So four games.
- Vacation of records from all 2023 games in which the ineligible player participated
They only self reported because Cade talked about it on some podcast.Impermissable because they self-reported it
What an idiot that guy wasThey only self reported because Cade talked about it on some podcast.
What is Frans record post-vacation?With regards to his overall win %.
Overall career (including Maine): Pre-vacation: 225–149 → .602 win % Post-vacation: 221–149 → .597 win %
The four vacated wins dropped his career winning percentage by 0.005.
It’s still above the new College Football Hall of Fame minimum of .595 (which starts with the 2027 ballot), but only by 0.002. That’s razor thin so any more losing seasons could push him below the line before he retires.
Will still easily be eligible for the Hall of Fine though. With regards to his overall win %.

So I see the 4 wins are vacated reducing the win total, but are they counted as losses? I ask as I don't know the rules and you didn't change the loss total. With regards to his overall win %.

So we haven’t beaten Iowa State since 2021 now.
We protect pedophiles in this country. Some even worship them.I wouldn't care, but since they reinstated JoePa's wins, that seems fucked
Fucking University Heights!!Kirk wasn’t going to call the cops and report himself for speeding until he saw this thing and knew he was fucked.

The only change is to the 4 wins, with losses staying exactly the same. This is standard NCAA practice for ineligible competition penalties opponents keep their losses on record, but Iowa no longer gets credit for those 4 wins.So I see the 4 wins are vacated reducing the win total, but are they counted as losses? I ask as I don't know the rules and you didn't change the loss total.
Does anyone really give a shit about this one? The only thing it hurts is Kirk's W/L record and his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame.I like Kirk but his list of completely retarded decisions that have impacted the program negatively is getting pretty long.
It demonstrates a certain level of incompetence that a lot of people like to ignoreDoes anyone really give a shit about this one? The only thing it hurts is Kirk's W/L record and his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame.
Kind of like anyone that does business with you.It demonstrates a certain level of incompetence that a lot of people like to ignore
Kirk has done many things that have made me angry. This is something I care about 0%. If anything, the part that upsets me the most is that they actually got Cade to come here and he sucked.Does anyone really give a shit about this one? The only thing it hurts is Kirk's W/L record and his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame.
The worst.Iowa's legal and compliance team must really fucking suck.
Probably Swedes.Iowa's legal and compliance team must really fucking suck.
Leave @Gushawk out of thisProbably Swedes.
ten incompetence was recruiting that pud in the first place, not “cheating” to do itIt demonstrates a certain level of incompetence that a lot of people like to ignore
They didn't self report because they realized they did something wrong. They self reported when Cade gave an interview and talked about the tampering publicly and gave them no other option. While it’s stupid to self-report it’s stupider of the NCAA to issue a punishment like this. Great way to deter anyone from self-reporting in the future unless and the NCAA’s investigation tools are utterly toothless.
So LTard got it wrong? They didn't self report because they realized they did something wrong. They self reported when Cade gave an interview and talked about the tampering publicly and gave them no other option.
Your parents got it wrongSo LTard got it wrong?
That’s impossible
“Cade is a liar and scum bag”They didn't self report because they realized they did something wrong. They self reported when Cade gave an interview and talked about the tampering publicly and gave them no other option.
