This is going to be a really nice venue. @26.2 are you staying up in Glencoe before the game this year? We can perhaps share a dog at Mustards!!! @KitKatApples were you taxed heavily for contributions being a season ticket holder?
35000 capacity. That's perfect for them and the place looks nice.

Hell, I'll be up for seeing Iowa play there for sure

You could argue that's the perfect size stadium. Big enough to feel full and loud, small enough there likely won't be a bad seat in the house. Same thing with a 6-8k basketball arena compared to 15-20k.

The whole twin thing with the exact same facial hair and haircut seems a little odd, lol, but they clearly know their shit.

You might have mentioned it before, but what is the story on these guys? Both Lester & Wallace seem to respect them a lot - were they connected to the program? Their pod is great.
Not connected to the staff in any way (ignoring now I guess, with the staff liking them/appreciating their intelligence). But they're buddies from CR (graduated from Alburnett) that were always really bright and Iowa Football disciples. Played at St. Thomas and work in the Twin Cities now. Barnes was the first to connect with them. They've offered to work pro bono to assist the staff with advance scouting (among other things). They mentioned it was a tough fraternity to get into but that was back in February when the staff didn't know them as well. There could be some opportunity now maybe.

I would like to see Lester execute the Delta Monster 187 Heavy South Zebra with Bravo Action on them

Do they do any kind of NFL scouting or anything? They mentioned watching some SEC film during the Wallace pod, wondered what that was about.

Edit: Also, on the topic of Clark, I saw him at a World Cup watch party a few weeks back, and while shooting the shit, brought that pod up. It was shortly after I listened to the Lester pod. Told him I found it on a forum and he hadn't heard of it, told him it was the best Iowa football pod by a long shot. I assumed they had to be connected to the staff to get that kind of access, but he hadn't heard of it, so assumed they probably weren't.

Good for them, but they should get paid for it and might not quite enjoy it as much as they think if they don't. They at a minimum will now lose their autonomy being this connected with the program going forward.

When you start consulting with an entity as big and as insular as that, they either are going to ask you to censor or they are going to feel pressure to self censor. Going to be hard to be fully critical going forward.

That's a good point Doug. Kirk might have heard some of their game breakdowns last year and thought "Fuck, I don't want these guys to be pointing out when our schemes are completely retarded in a way the Tavernhok can understand! Let's get them on the teet"

It was surprising to me how complimentary Wallace was toward them.

Yes, they've talked about just that. At a real crossroads. They either get folded into the Iowa staff or they start expanding beyond Iowa on the media front. They've already been solicited by other fanbases (Indiana, Oregon, some SEC) to broaden reach. They're going to breakdown LSU/Clemson Week 1.

Schools can hire 100 fired coaches as "analysts" to do advance scouting but have you considered this offer from some podcasters who played D3

That's a little unfair, the staff seems genuinely impressed with them and they are clearly knowledgeable.

Bought a driver off of Marketplace from new Hawkeye Eli Ozick. Seemed like a great guy, for a kicker.
