My favorite thing about Bob is claiming this was the first year he didn't go to a game in a decade bc the team was so shitty and in the next breath saying SPORTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN STOP BEING NEGATIVE!!
I think the issue is that you lack any ability to comprehend the posts that I have made today.

In terms of YPG, here is more than a decade's worth of Kirk Ferentz:

2022 130
2021 121
2020 88
2019 99
2018 92
2017 117
2016 121
2015 72
2014 66
2013 84
2012 117

It's all so awful that it's pretty tough to figure out where he made the 'big changes.' I think O'Keefe left in 2011 when Iowa finished 76th. Greg Davis took over (big change!) and Iowa immediately got worse. Next big change was hiring his greasy turd of a son in 2017. As you can see above, Iowa's offensive actually got even worse.

Kirk's shitty offense is a feature, not a bug. The change in OC, if there is one, will be more of the same. No OC worth a shit is going to take a job at Iowa where he'll have to work from Kirk's ancient playbook. So, it'll be Budmayr and the super sunny Bobtimistic types will be all "SEE?! He's making changes!!"

It’s also definitely not always been a KF by design thing. The KOK median for his last nine years was 61. Average was 59.5 even with 2004 (every RB injured) and 2007 (Jake C). Those years were KOK outliers that have become the norm.

Brian’s average YPP rank is 99.67. If they drop two spots thanks to the bowl, they’ll be at a clean 100 average.

It would appear that a) KOK was working miracles given his constraints, b) GDGD, who we all wanted to be run out of IC, wasn't as bad as c) Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz, who is terrible at his job.

I think it was more that the zone blocking was novel during the KOK era. Over time most Big Ten defenses have figured out how to defend the stretch play.

Because Brian and Kirk don't understand how to adjust, they just run into the teeth of defenses designed specifically to stop the stretch play. KOK's presence as QB coach during the Brian degeneration suggests that he wouldn't have done much better.

Seems awfully negative, Bob.

This all reminds me of that famous Bob Dylan song.

Right at the time, Dougie’s line
Threw the Bob a like when he whined, didn’t you?
Sources call say “Brian’s gone, NIL deals on”
We said they were all shitting you.

Doug used to…laugh about. When they said Brian would take Spencer out.
Now he’s talking just as loud, and he’s feeling oh so proud. About who’ll be signing the next NIL deal.

How does it feel…..how does it feel? To be with Bob alone. Realism not condoned. On the Retard Throne.
