Assuming Brian’s departure is indeed imminent (which I do not), the delay in announcing it and finding/naming his replacement totally is not a stupid counterproductive charade to pretend his leaving is the product of something other than his epically shitty tenure as offensive coordinator!
Doing it this way alleviates any potential discomfort for Kirk over the holidays.

Kirk does it this way to make it easier on himself, certainly. It answers a question that sucks to get asked. I respect him for it, and try to emulate that strategy where it makes sense in my own life. “I evaluate coaches after the season.”

That doesn’t help with Mary’s questions of concern for her first born son after his maximum public massive failure. The only way this could have gone any worse is if the Ferentz’s were all MUCH more public.

I assume we also have to wait as the potential new OC job has to be publicly listed for two weeks and the Bisexual Asian Studies professor has to sign off, right?

Coming? How many more kids need to enter the portal for you to think it’s here?
I think he meant missed payments, jealous teammates, etc.

The contracts can’t condition payment on playing time, performance, etc. They can’t even require the athlete remain at that particular school. All of it is done between the athlete and the collective. The schools have no direct involvement. They can’t, per the few rules they have in place. Only thing a school can say is that there’ll be NIL opportunities. They can’t say, sign here and we’ll give you $________.

Anyway, I mention this because there are going to be some seriously bad contracts out there. A lot of money is being paid based solely on projections and plenty of 4-5 star recruits end up being shit.

Maybe recruits will start splitting the money with the recruiting services so they can get an extra star.

I did not assure, they thought they had a great shot. OSU and Michigan came in and won this one. There will be more, boyz. Not going to win them all.

That was what they felt like a few days ago, and then Ohio State and Michigan stepped up the offers and had a bidding war against each other and Michigan won.

Iowa never led on Hausmann. Not sure who told you that load of shit.

I truly believe we were locks to get Holden had we not stopped recruiting him. The buzz around this offense is intoxicating.

Seems like if someone was less concerned about being RATT, and instead actually just being right, that they would account for the possibility that other schools would also try to convince players to go there up to and even after a player commits.
