Brian getting a bullshit lawsuit for being a douchebag and acting untouchable makes him essentially unemployable for the foreseeable future. That along with being objectively terrible at his current job. Any football organization that attempts to hire him will get absolutely dragged by the media and they’ll have to pull the plug like Jacksonville with Doyle.

God I hope I’m wrong, but we may be stuck with him in some capacity as long as Kirk is at Iowa. Cant Kirk just put him on some kind of No-show job like an “analyst” that can’t interact with the players? At a greatly reduced salary of course.

David Shaw and his family are sitting up front at the Warriors game tonight, so not taking Brian's office tomorrow morning. ;)

The lawsuit thing doesn't make him unemployable. This is something people have just made up.

Also, let's be really clear on the Doyle thing. He was let go/resigned AND it was more of a way for media to go after Urban Meyer who they all hated and was universally known as a piece of shit at that point.

Brian's situation is completely different.

I’m not disagreeing but I’ve completely given up on trying to predict how things are going to be reported on and perceived. Lots of journos trying to make their bones.

I am 100% wanting to be wrong on this for the record and will eat a bucket of crow if he leaves and gets another gig.

If it's NE, Kraft and Bellichick will ignore any media complaints and do whatever they want. Very different scenario than what happened in Jacksonville. Not sure that any other team would do it though.

While the racial allegations at Iowa were 100% woke bullshit, Brian wasn't implicated at the level of Doyle. He can get another job.

And it certainly doesn’t make him un-fireable. Again, we can fire him without him getting another job. Do you know many employers that retain an employee for the sole reason that they may not be able to get a job elsewhere?

Maybe it’s been mentioned but Davidkov is done with football so May, Van Ness and Davidkov give Iowa 3 more scholarships which brings their total to 5 open at the moment.

FTR, I will be at least temporarily pleased with any OC except Bridawg or Buddy Boy.
Correct. It works this way:

Brian - Outrage! at the Fuck it kick the dog level
ButtMayor - Outrage! at normal outrage levels, plus sad resignation
Anyone else - guarded optimism and mass thankfulness for being given that much.

I am firmly in the “Fuck Budamyr as OC” camp. Utterly unqualified lapdog. Make him QB coach if you must, but do not gift him a job that he doesn’t in any way deserve.
Does iowa have a history of gifting the OC job to someone who doesn’t deserve it?

You are correct, I am just acknowledging my probable failure.

Remember when we were supposed to be excited about QB guru ButtMayor and the wonders he was going to work with Peaches and Padilla?

It was neat to watch all these bowl games over the past few weeks where teams were playing their 2nd/3rd string QBs and were able to get them to the point where they trusted them to execute plays with more than a single read.
Some really neat stories.

To be fair to Labas...I'm not sure Iowas starting QB could do that either.

Given that health isn’t an issue….I’m having a really really hard time believing that Kirk WOULDNT go back to Spencer, instead of Labas, if something happened to Cade
Uhhhh……of course. We all heard his comments regarding Labas after the game. It took everything in his power not to Deuce Hogan that poor kid.

So, exactly how many offensive assistants are in a sexual relationship with Peaches?

I’m probably late to the party but I didn’t realize the on3 transfer porter showed NIL value

If it wasn’t for his (other) son, Kurt would ask Spence to coordinate the offense,
