But at least you can work that into LBs covering TEs all the time and knowing the position from the other side of the ball 🤷

These young linemen are going to make many of you look stupid in the future.
Somebody's gonna transfer if two grad transfers start, however. There was talk of Elsbury family unhappiness with PT last fall, so there's one potential candidate. Maybe Stephens if he should end up as the odd man out.

Ells was one of the lone seemingly bright spots on the OL last year. Which means of course that it would only make sense if he was the one that transferee

I like that May ended up a 4* which should have generated interest from more than community colleges but realizing he was in iowas QB room and couldn't beat out spencer Petras, teams gave him a hard pass

You're taking a kid who basically took a year off from football to backpack all over Europe for a year, at least as far as QB development goes.

FWIW that’s a good JUCO program that gets recruited a lot. If he’s guaranteed playing time then it might be a wiser move then sitting the bench somewhere. Put up good numbers there and he could probably transfer to a group of 5 school the next year as the presumptive starter.

Crap. Real lack of bodies and size on the line next year.

It will be interesting to see how Deion does when he doesn’t have a decided talent advantage. I imagine getting better talent for someone like him is easier when coaching at the lower levels.

He did hire coordinators who have been successful, so his job is to attract talented meatheads and get them to practice hard. It will be interesting to see how he manages shit when they aren’t good, and if that effects his recruiting in the future.
