So the head coach isn’t responsible for the team? If you think that you are too stupid to breathe
Where did he say this? He said Kirk isn't going anywhere. And he's not.

That’s where
He said the guy that’s fucking terrible at his job is at fault. Kirk’s proven himself to be great at parts of his job, Brian is TERRIBLE at his job. Kirk’s worst fault of having his job is hiring Brian. Brian’s worst part is existing in that roll.

The problem with "Kirk isn't the problem, A, B, and C are," is that Kirk prevents A, B, and C from being addressed.

Kirk loves Petras, made and hired Brian, and I don't know what C is, but it's probably on Kirk.

Love the guy, happy at what Iowa has been under his coaching- but if Brian is the problem, it ain't getting fixed under Kirk.

I’m okay with Brian being on staff. He adds an asshole element that we need to stay edgy, especially since Doyle left. And, he does love the Hawks. But OC, no. Someone else mentioned it before but he might be a be better HC than OC. I could see that being the case.

Right, so they are both at fault

Jesus Christ, no.

I would rather have a woman coach than Brian.

The worst he could do is be as bad, because you know, Iowa is dead fucking last in offense.

This is accurate. Many people bitch about the offense, etc. but yet defend KF. Until he feels any pressure, nothing changes.

After thinking about it, it would be surprising if he was somehow the worst in the country at any other job, too.

If it removed him from playcalling duties for the remainder of the season, I would name him co-head coach tomorrow.

He still never said Kirk bears no responsibility
If one person is 10000000% the issue, how much is another person also part of the problem?

Well yeah, he can’t be worse at that other job.

Fuck that. Three years ago, maybe. Now, he’s lost that chance and needs to be exorcised from the program.

Well, that's understandable. I mean, like, every college quarterback loses concentration and focus at key points in big games.
Yes, it is weird how it always happens at important and pressure packed parts of games

Kirk saying on postgame that he might get fined for what he’ll say about officiating in the presser.
He got right up to the edge, but I don’t think he went as far as he hinted he was going to.

I just had a nightmare that had Spencer sprinting out and trying to throw.

Why were you doing that?
I thought chat was for people sitting at home watching the game on television having a way to interact with others. I did not realize that we need to have our TVs synched so that all the various streams are coming in at the same time.

Oh Jesus, no.

You have no evidence that Brian is anything other than a meathead. None. Naming him co-head coach allows Kirk to make no changes, and locks you into having to give Brian a run as HC after Kirk's retirement (whenever that may be).

If you remove Brian from calling plays you still have Petras carved in stone at QB. Thus, the season is on the rocks anyway.

Let Brian complete this failure of a season and Team Ferentz feel the heat for having hitched his wagon to Brian and Spencer.

Agreed, let them eat the shitburger they pattied up. Unfortunately, we have to taste it too.

That was my favorite part of the ISU game. Sprint him out left over and over...sure, he can't chew gum and walk, but it's so dumb, it just might work.
Having him sprint out to the left is malpractice.

We got a real problem here, boyz.

Garta allowed Kurt to lord over Iowa Football and turn it into some sort of family business. Garta is too much of a beta to do anything about the Bridawg situation now. Moreso, as we all know, Kurt is a delusional man (see Spencer Petras at QB). He still thinks his little Bridawg is gonna be the HC when poppa decides it's time to hand over the chiefdom. And that buck toothed yokel Gary Garta thinks that's just a swell idea. I don't see a way out of this mess. That's why nepotism is bad.

Brian has to own this simply for having the OC title, period. We don't know exactly what parameters he is forced to work in, but he doesn't get to avoid blame simply because his dad has the puppet strings. He agreed to be the puppet.

Barta, and maybe even the UI prez should get plenty of heat for allowing that charade to take place. It was against state law for Kirk to hire Brian so Gary did it for him. He needs to be included on any of the fallout.

Unfortunately, this is the Iowa good ol' boys club there won't be any accountability until this has collapsed to the point of needing a major rebuild.

I have no doubt Kirk thinks this offense/team is close. He can look at the ISU loss and easily see a win was within their grasp and even today could have been within 6 in the 4th quarter. Blinders and pig headedness prevents him from seeing the warts that really need addressing. In his mind we can still get there with better execution. Just don't know who can reach him. To Mikey's point he has no external pressure to make change and improve performance like he did earlier in his career. He's not going anywhere.

How do you guys think recruiting is going to go on the offensive side of the ball?

Great or just good?
