He took a look at other jobs the year he lost 4 seniors and his profile was the highest it had ever been. Every coach in the world does that so to act like that is some reason to point at is silly.

Now his profile is the lowest it has ever been, taking another job would be a step down at best, he would have to find a school for Connor that had baseball and basketball AND he would have to sit out ANOTHER year and uproot his entire family including 2 younger kids. Not to mention the likely $500k+ paycut.

It makes zero sense unless his top players transfer out on him.

The problem with Pitt is they just hired the pasty old white guy who was only solid at his current job and at his lowest point when taking the job when they hired Stallings.

- Patrick leaves his friends and team his Senior year to go to a prep school or new high school
- The other kids and wife are uprooted from the only community they have known and lose all their friends
- Fran walks away from Wieskamp and likely Cook/Garza/Nunge/bohannon.
- Fran has to look Barta in the eye who has fully supported him and basically stab him in the back
- Fran likely takes a large paycut

That is a whole lot of fucking up your career and other people's lives just so you can take a lateral or downward move and paycut to walk into a situation that likely needs a complete rebuild and won't be good for 2-3 years at best.

I don't know, but if I am Fran I likely think to myself this year was a bad set of circumstances and make a few adjustments and see if Iowa can get back on track next year.
