The funny thing about that game was Kirk actually managed the clock almost brilliantly up to the onside kick. They kicked the field goal down 10 on 1st down to put themselves in the position to tie or win the game.

the onside kick was great, it went like 18 yards, Iowa was going to start at the Florida 47

The ‘Lets Go Hawks’ chant as the clock was winding down and Florida was taking knees was awesome.

Correct. The Michigan receiver actually interfered trying to break up the pass. Johnson got called for PI.

As bad as the offsides on the onside kick was in the Outback Bowl, the face mask call on Clinton Solomon might be one of the biggest wtf calls I’ve seen in college football.
What was the game last year (I think) that something really similar happened? Iowa player was ripped down by or had his facemask grabbed and the ref called it on Iowa. Was it the Michigan game?

Nevermind, figured it out. It was the Nebrantska game and Goodson was ripped down by his facemask and injured and a flag flies.

Except the flag isn't for a facemask, it was an unsportsmanlike penalty on ISM.

Not many ADs could keep a job, let alone attain worship-level status with such mediocre competitive accomplishments, but that’s what makes ISU special.

I'd never heard of this guy and don't remember him having an NFL career.

It's because he didn't.

San Francisco 49ers[edit]
Bykowski was selected in the seventh round, (246th overall), by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2013 NFL Draft.[3][4] After spending his rookie season on the practice squad, he signed to a new contract on January 21, 2014.[5]

Minnesota Vikings[edit]
The Minnesota Vikings signed Bykowski off the 49ers' practice squad on December 10, 2014.[6] On September 3, 2016, he was released by the Vikings as part of final roster cuts.[7] On September 6, 2016, he was signed to the Vikings' practice squad.[8] On September 13, he was released from the Vikings' practice squad.[9]

Atlanta Falcons[edit]
On September 21, 2016, Bykowski was signed to the Falcons' practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Falcons on February 7, 2017.[10]

On March 30, 2017, Bykowski announced his retirement from the NFL.[11]

Going to be hard for Hey Guys to find a game worn NFLA jersey for that guy. It’s going to leave an empty space on the wall.
